Making diagrams during repairs
Yes .. our memories are not perfect .. therefore, a carefully detailed clearly written large scale diagram of the work in progress as we progress should be made IF we are not thoroughly familiar with the work in progress. This can save expensive problems resulting from our repairs. Wiring should be identified as to colours and joints. You will mess up the first diagram you make with oil and grease, so when you have a successful repair done, redo the diagram and put it in a clear plastic cover for next time you do the same repair because you almost certainly will not remember details the second time around.
