Linda's list of stuff that should be added to the wiki.

If they're still red, they still need to be written. All you have to do to write one of these articles is click on the little red link and write away! Please don't forget to categorize -- all you have to do is write [[Category: Moped parts]] at the bottom of your article (substitute "moped parts" for appropriate category): Capitalization matters! Also, if you know a little but not enough to write the whole article, you should still add what you know. Just write {{stub}} at the bottom of the article, and it will appear in the stubs section so that others can find and expand on it.

Most important:
Cylinder head
Transfer port
Exhaust port
Intake port
Speed kit
POR -- there's a Kreem article, but no POR article? WTF?

Less important but still needed:

  • Brands, engines, models, etc -- Categories, Moped Models, Moped Brands, Engines

Piaggaio (or redirect it to where it belongs)
Vespa Grande (find links for Grande and Piaggio Grande and redirect)
Puch Korado
Puch Cobra

  • Brand-specific parts -- Category Parts

any other parts manufacturers or brand-specific parts you can think of

  • Generic moped parts -- Category Moped parts

Idle screw
Air box
Air filter
Throttle slide
Intake manifold
Carb body
Fuel filter
Needle (like in Bing carb, not float needle)
High tension coil
Spark plug cap
Oil injector

  • Moped words -- Category Moped Jargon

Vacuum leak
Back pressure
One speed
Two speed
Power band
Squish band
Reproduction parts
Bottom end
Top end
Low end
High end
Case matching (or redirect to Port matching)
Port map (explain and/or link to places where people have put this info)
Four stroke (this is different from Four Stroking, which is an article that already exists)

  • Tools for mopeds -- Category Tools

Clutch puller
Torque wrench
Compression gauge

You've started on the wiki-fixin' without me! --Mijunkin 17:06, 11 June 2008 (EDT)

I'll be on vacation in NY for a week, with a good amount of down time, so I can play with the wiki then. Sure, give me a list! That way I don't have to go through and see what you've changed and try to figure out what I should do. But don't worry about it if it's going to take too long to list all the changes that are still needed. When are you heading to (fill in name of place I can't remember here - I want to say something like Costa Rica but I don't think that's it...)? --Mijunkin 09:24, 13 June 2008 (EDT)

You're leaving for 6 months? That is 0% cool. But I suppose you will be having fun. Enjoy it! The next two days I'll be busy flying to NY and with father's day stuff, but I've got all next week just lounging around upstate NY, so I can do some wikification. Thanks for the [intensely comprehensive] list. :) --Mijunkin 00:19, 14 June 2008 (EDT)

I added some definitions to start from on some stuff. Can you believe there isn't an entry for headlight or taillight? Ar71c40k3 16:43, 21 June 2008 (EDT)

Added more to the flywheel page to de-stubify, and edited the magneto page. I facebooked you about uploading an image, because I don't know how. It would also be good if "stator plate" could be redirected to the "magneto" article. I don't know how to do any of this stuff. Ar71c40k3 16:43, 21 June 2008 (EDT)

As per your request, I created an article for Flywheel Puller, Piston Stop, and The Rope Trick, as well as modifying the Flywheel article. The new articles probably need to be categorized. I also set up "crank" to redirect to "crankshaft."Ar71c40k3 19:50, 22 June 2008 (EDT)

Hey. Sorry I've been lame and haven't jumped into the wiki fix-it party. I thought I could last week when I was in NY, but I never was able to get online much. I promise I'll jump in soon! Work seems slow, and the boss is out until Wednesday. I can probably edit all sneaky-like tomorrow. Yesss. Getting paid to wiki is awesome. Oh, and feel free to keep editing the list on my page. Doesn't bother me one bit, and it will help to know what on it has been done once I do join in the fun. --Mijunkin 16:00, 23 June 2008 (EDT)

I wrote a couple more articles. You should add Malossi, Athena, Airsal, Parmakit, and maybe TCCD to your list of manufacturers/performance parts makers. Oh, and please help me categorize and organize my shit. I'm a scatterbrain. --Ar71c40k3 19:14, 13 August 2008 (EDT)

Hey you. This is carte blanche to steal stuff from WikiLou. It's got some good functional code goodies laying around, and at least there are good help pages that should be brought onto this wiki. I started WikiLou, so don't worry about anyone getting annoyed. I won't sue you, promise. :) --Mijunkin 13:21, 14 August 2008 (EDT)

I never should have shown you those wiki help pages. Now you're making templates. Next you'll be making your own wikis. Someday you'll wake up with an empty bottle of tequila and a automatic, rotating, time-sensitive calendar template that you have no idea how to recreate. It's an ugly path to follow... --Mijunkin 01:52, 16 August 2008 (EDT)
