The "Power Band" is a term for the range of RPM that an engine makes it's usuable HP. Generally it's used in refference to two stroke motorcycles with multiple manual gears. The idea is to keep the engine in the RPM range that the engine makes the most HP while shifting through the gears to obtain maximum acceleration.
