Hercules is a German motorcycle producer founded in Nuremberg in 1886 by Carl Marschuet . Famous for their moped production, they took over the company Zweirad-Union, which was a production union of Express, DKW and Victoria. Hercules always used Fichtel & Sachs engines for their mopeds. Besides the moped production, a milestone was the development and production of the worlds first Wankel engine motorbike. In export markets, Hercules often used the label DKW or Sachs.
