I have been looking in to getting a moped for a while, and always wanted a classic frame, because they are way cooler then new mopeds. However, I either never had the money or never could find the body style I like. That is until one day when I was browsing craigslist and found a 1979 Batavus Regency for 60 bucks. You might be thinking, man that's cheep, must be a piece of crap. Thats kinda what I thought too, but i went to look at it anyway. To my surprise it is in pretty much meant condition. The guy who sold it to me said that he had won it in a raffle in the 70's and planed to give it to his kids, but they didn't want it. So it just sat in his shed for 30 years until I bought it.
Now, meant condition is probably not accurate because it has been sitting for so long. However, it dose have all its original parts and there were only a few things that needed mending. Seized engine, bad carb, bent front fork, new front wheel, new tires, electrical problem........ So the fixes were more then I initially inticaped, but now its on the road and running strong.

(wow i just realized that this info is like 5 years old... i used to be so innocent, but now I have a Batavus Grand Prix that goes 67mph
