My first moped was an SYM DD50 out of Taiwan. That got stolen about half a year later so I found a Verucci Avispa. I know some of the models coming out of China run like crap, but I'm pretty happy with my setup. It carries about 400 lbs at 35 mph, hopefully more with the upgrades. I don't recall when I got hooked on mopeds; they have always seemed like a cool way to get around without spending a lot of money, and I've never really cared what other people thought. Sure some people might think it's geeky, but I'm not dropping $50 a week just getting to work. I'm cool with bigger stuff too, crotch rockets and harleys and what have you, but the moped is definetely my scooter.
