My uncle found my moped in a dumpster 10 years ago and we took it to his father's cabin where its condition steadily worsened from constant use on washboarded dirt roads. About five years ago, my brother took it to our home in Minneapolis where he disassembled the bike and repainted the frame. Discouraged by the apparent unavailability of parts, he left the moped unfinished in our garage. Then, on April 1st, 2001, he was killed in a car crash at the age of 18. As a memorial, I have collected the scattered parts and purchased what new parts I could find, completed his repairs, and licensed the moped. I dedicate my membership to Thomas Michael Bethke.
