Its going to need more work than the red one.me and my son got it running today, but not properly.carb problem- float chamber fails to fill when the float is in place.have removed the float, and I fi

Chain and sprockets all good.Cables, Seat and Rear carrier superb!Bearings wrong size, so just re greased old ones (they looked alright)Stand was hopeless. the centre portion that clamps to engine is either too larger diameter or the bends start too soon. will need some serious reworking if its to be used. did use the new bracket and spring for the old stand. As for performance of carb/exhaust, I h

I've actually calculated that if I save the swarf from 927 bing clones, I will have enough Al/Mg/Zn/marshmallow to cast another one!!

Probably been covered here before many-a-time, but worth a reminder! My inquisitive nature forced me to completely strip my new Bing copy before installing; look what I found lurking inside..............

The opening title was a bit of a joke to be honest! Thanks to the knowledgeable folks on here, I now have a proper plan put together; Carb and pipe for a little more power, then keep everything else stock, and replace a few cosmetic items. If a spare E50 engine comes my way, I might then think about going a little more wild.@Derek; If I keep this as long as you've had your ped, I'll need

Thanks everyone! I'm guessing the clamshell case difference is that mine is in just 2 pieces without separate clutch cover? does this make it weaker and a poor choice for a kit? If so, I think I will keep it standard except for exhaust and carb/filter. Engine and frame numbers match, so I don't want to destroy the casing.

Thanks for all your advice!A little more info; Its a 1969, almost completely original. my workshop is on a 40MPH road, I just want it to keep up with the traffic for safety. Not looking for huge speeds.I like the look of it as it is, and will keep it looking as stock as possible. Probably go for a tecno bos exhaust in chrome. And will replace some of the other chrome work and a new seat to general

Ok, the title is in fact a lie just to get some attention! In fact it's my second ped, having owned one similar some 30 years ago. Also, I'm quite happy to see mid 40's as the top end, being a hard tail version! Anyway, looking for a little advice here; although I'm tempted to jump right in with a big bore kit and pipe, what should be done first? Will stock drum brakes be ok at
