hi,i attached a new condenser externally as per mabecanes web page instructions , the moped runs with this new installment but i still need to take it on a longer trip than down the driveway to see if the original problem persist. as for those who suggested that it may be a clogged gas cap on the above mentioned longer trip if the problem persist ill loosen the cap to allow for air in the tank

well what i mean about bogging is that it runs great for a couple miles then it starts to run bad , it gets power then losses power intermittently and wants to die , i can drive it that way but it gets worse and worse it start to die more oftenlet me know what you thinkthanks

hi,i have a 78 motbecane vlx, i noticed when i take it out, it rides fine for around 5-6 miles then bogs down but if i give it a few minutes it will run fine again anyone have an idea what this is ? could it mean the gas is to old or what ?thanks

what the spring and the metal plat are on page 31 "spring" #5 and the "pulley spring limiter"#6http://staff.washington.edu/iet/Catalog.pdfit seems that the spring is housed in the limiter does this make sense? # 15thank you

hi,the other day i was driving home from work when i felt this vibrationfrom the engine area (i did have the vibration before on a regular basis, but not so strong, i thought it is normal for a ped to vibrate a bit) and then the ped died , i was able to start it again but when i gave it to much juice and the variator was at full tilt the vibration came back and the ped died again.so the symptoms

hi,i have a 78 motobecane vlx and i noticed grease/oil? that splatters on the pulley area ( that large flat plate like gear) and its coming out were the peddle crank is connected how is this stopped and y does this happen?thanks

hi,i have a 14 12 Dellorto Carb, when i moved things around at the petcock and the fuel line to drain the gas tank, i noticed after that i had a fuel leak, i narrowed it down to either the fuel line doesn't have a proper seal on the nipple of the banjo or the seal of the banjo against the fuel filter and carb does not have a proper seal. one thing i also noticed the little washer called the &

for now i am going to use the slightly bent axle untill i can get something to get the nut/cone off . i hope its ok, i mean i wonder how many years the person before me was riding it that way.

hi,i want to replace an axle but i cant get the single nut and cone off the axle first of all there is nothing to grip (w/o damaging the axle) to counter the force to remove the nut and cone and second even when i use a vice grip it wont budge( i damaged the center of the axle that does that need a thread) any advice ?thanks

hi,i have a 78 vlx motobacane, i noticed when i was replacing the axle in the hub there was a rough spot in the spin, then i noticed that the axle was bent and this may be the culprit, is there any way of straighting out the axle without damaging it etc.thank you
