If you post your current setup you'll get much better answers. What exhaust, carb size, current jet?

I think I have one of the early ones since I bought it before they were for sale on the website. I've had quite a bit of trouble with it. Multiple rounds of loctite of blue and red variety and it's always tossed a bolt after a very low number of miles. That being said, I think this would be a great performance replacement with a little alteration. I think the open, full thread bolt is the

Go to a different DMV. Take a filled out application for title (form PS-2000), filled out statement of facts (form PS-2002), and bring in a printed photo of each side of the bike and also the VIN plate.I've titled numerous bikes without a history like this and it's been no problem. However, once you go somewhere that decides you have to do a bonded title it's over. Just go somewhere

I almost guarantee there is someone local to Michigan too. Just look for a snowmobile tuning shop. That's what bill bune is.

What was the final choice for your gasket material? I've been looking at what I'm going to replace mine with and I'm looking at some high chemical resistance, high temp rubber to cut to shape.

I'd also say like a bike tire tube slipped over the spring would help too. Not sure how well it would stay but it's an idea I've seen on smaller springs.

I have one on a v1 polini and all I needed to do was notch the intake to meet the vacuum circuit and it works well. If you run the carb "upside down" with the diaphragm on top you can also use gravity to your advantage. It takes a little playing around with pop off spring to get the mid range dialed in, but yeah it's basically an on off switch. Super fun though. Also a tillotson hl-1

Aw man. If this doesn't sell I would be very interested come spring.

How's the centering on the wheel hub? I know I needed to take a sprocket to a machine shop to have the mounting holes indexed to center when I opened up the hub. If it's mounted even slightly off center the run out will multiply on the outside diameter. Doesn't help that it's dished too.

Open up that stock exhaust and take a look at the hidden internal header extension. Might be able to squeeze a little more out of it by playing with the length?

Sounds right to me. Dumb dumb math I always use is the equivalence method:57/17 = x/1653.something, so 54 would match.

Is that exhaust bracket attached to the swing arm? Did that cause any issues while riding?
Mitch Mills — 2 years ago
I didn't take it further apart than this but there is a plastic planetary gear set behind the cover and a two arm clutch behind the chain side half. It looks like a huge set of starter shoes. Very interested to see what kind of engagement this has and what it even does.Myron's has a basic diagram of it.2-speed diagram

I've been buying up all the solo crap that comes up for sale in MN so I have spares and parts to test things on. I have a wrecked cylinder that would be perfect to cut into to see exactly how far you can go before breaking into the water jacket if you want it.The plan with mine is to adapt the two speed pulley onto it to have something extra interesting.
