I hope u find it very nice looking bike. Don't lose hope just keep looking I'm sure someone in your area knows who took it. Most of the time it's the people in your neighborhood who know where u live and keep it. So be cautious of everyone around u.
I always use lock tight on the main gear nut for that reason. The vibration from normal use causes that nut to come loose and leak.
I been using the treats cdi for the past 4 years on my tomos the only problem I ever had was the trigger coil on the stator plate went bad replaced it awhile ago it's been running ever since. Fyi this cdi has unlimited revs which is better than any stock cdi my opinion.
Check for loose parts nuts bolts loose chain.. tomos engines do make pinging noise normally when idle.
Every application is different follow a repair manual if u have one I just lightly rub oil on dry gaskets.
Does the spark plug have the crush gasket on it? If not replace with new one simple.
I have life insurance I'm covered ignorant of me yes but like I said I haven't been on my bike alot this season. Most of the time I do ride just around the area where I live.
Hope u get better soon sorry to hear your story. This is a main reason y I ride my bike as fast as possible to get away from stupid drivers I dont wear a helmet stupid I know but that's a risk we all take. I haven't been riding as much as I like to this season to much crap going on in my life.
Try a balljoint press install remover tool or bring it to a shop have it pressed off new one put on. I used the balljoint tool for that purpose also works on the clutch bell when removing or pressing the one way bearing. Like a mini press.
Ebay get the kevlar and give them your clutch bell 2.
I use walmart 2 stroke oil also Pennzoil 2-stroke oil.
Or a unbalanced bell could be a issue 2
My bike been running 4 years without it
Yes Im using kevlar 2. Its best to get the bike to shift sooner use different oils/atf mix or let off the throttle and let it shift. Fyi I dont run a spag clip in my bike if it breaks it can cause damage to the gears.
No that bushing is pressed into the bell.
I use 40:1 walmart 2 stroke oil
Just touch up its just mopeds
Nice job now let me ride it.
Pipe is preference I use the estoril sidebleed. Be proactive about the clutches and check them.
The crank looks normal. Personally I like the early cranks better the webs are thicker stronger looking.
A vise 2 flathead screwdrivers and some vise grips do the job well. I just needed the tool to do it correctly.
To me its fun enjoy your bike the way it is or push it to the max yolo.
