Sent the lollipop out with the stator. Sorry!
Magura long pull throttle w/ grip. Used for about 15 minutes (too much pull for the moped it was on).$24 shipped.
This one: http://www.treatland.tv/puch-E50-ZA50-points-stator-plate-p/puch-e50-stator-plate.htmNew in box. 50 bucks shipped. I'll throw in a mango chili lollipop from Tijuana.
Smoke a chunk of it and see if you get high.
It's just crazy to me because the same thing happens with two different kit/piston setups...leading me to believe it's got everything to do with the crank or bearings.
Ha...I tried that (both with the engine running and while being hand-turned) and it sounds like the noise is coming from everywhere.Rich Swingewood Wrote:-------------------------------------------------------> An old trick, is to make a stethoscope by using a> wooden handled hammer or piece of wood and placing> it against the parts with your ear up against it> to try and determine whe
Both the K-star and the Airsal pistons have standard non-dyked rings.I did notice a bit of side to side play in my crank when re-installing my magneto today (for the thousandth time) and I'm starting to think it's just shitty bearings. Here's a pretty noisy video of it running:*For some reason it sounds like the idle is speeding up and slowing down in the video but I think it's
According to the mark on my magneto, it's happening when the piston is all the way back and clear of the exhaust port. Also, the noise only seems to happen when the plug is installed and there is compression in the motor.
As I said in my post earlier tonight, I removed both the entire clutch assembly and magneto (using a Treats CDI).
Thanks for the suggestion but it happens even without the piston ring.
It's been a while since I've had the time to mess with it but here's a little update:Removed the K-Star kit & piston, replaced it with a 70cc Airsal setup I had sitting around for another project. Same damn noise in the same spot on every rotation.I know the ring isn't catching any of the ports on either kit because I tried them both without the ring installed. I also know
I've got these that came off a Pinto (same as a Maxi fork):Complete w/ stabilizer. $55 shipped.I've also got a maroon fork I'll be pulling off my Newport next week I could sell for the same price.
I sent you an Edible Arrangement.
Seriously! There was just a gold Maxi frame for sale on LA craigslist that included a swing arm, shocks and complete rear spoked wheel for 60 bucks.
Bump. Still got this. I'll take 50 bucks shipped.
Two pending buyers. First one to actually send payment gets it.
$95 shipped (USA)Flat port. Basically new (about two miles on it). Has a couple of small scratches on it that were present when I got it from Treats last month. The only real reason I'm selling is because it's too tinny sounding for my liking at high RPMs. Packed up and ready to ship.
Sunday bump. More stuff is gone but there's still a bunch left.
You'll need special cafe racer bolts though. The regular ones won't work.
Album updated again to show what's gone and what remains.
I'll sell you one that only has a few trips around the block on it for $110 shipped.
If you don't want to bend your crank arm:http://www.treatland.tv/puch-magnum-pedal-crank-shaft-260mm-p/puch-magnum-pedal-crank-260mm.htm
Some stuff is gone! Album has been updated.
