I had this head on a running bike for a couple of years and never noticed until I recently pulled it out of my garage but it looks like the spark plug threads had been repaired some time ago with a re-thread kit. I never had any issues with it.30 bucks shipped.
This one: https://www.treatland.tv/magura-plastic-long-pull-throttle-p/magura-throttle-0550888.htmInstalled but it had way too much pull for the shitty moped I was putting it on.$15 shipped. Comes with free dust.

And I have a Gila head in great condition.
A wrapped pipe supposedly keeps the heat inside the pipe and makes exhaust exit faster. It will also make the steel your pipe is made of more brittle in the long run. It also holds in moisture, making the pipe rust really quickly beneath the wrap.
That's what I figured. I think I'm just going to give them to the tweakers who "live" in the park down the street and tell them it will make their stolen mountain bikes faster if they can figure out how to hook it up.
I've got a bunch of these things in my garage that someone gave me a while back and I have no idea if they still work or if they're junk. Is there an easy way to test them with a multimeter?
Got one from someone who isn't an asshole selling broken stuff.
It's best to buy anything new. I like to live on the edge.

Anyone have one sitting around collecting dust?
I'm cobbling together a budget Puch build from spare parts and trying to use stuff I already have in the garage. My question is - is there any way I can use this CDI setup but use this CDI box instead?I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has done it and if so, which wires went where. If it's not possible, does anyone have a Pietcard 2041 sitting around?
Found one. Thanks, Ken Roff!
Anyone have one in decent shape they can part with?Just the cylinder & piston, don't need the head.
bumpIt's a decent carb, I just have no use for it.
This one: http://www.1977mopeds.com/Dakar-19mm-PHBG-Clone-Carburetor-p/3072.htmUsed for only a couple of months and in perfect condition aside from being little dusty from sitting around in my garage.I switched it over to a pull choke but will include the original cable choke setup (in the bag pictured). Let me know what idle and main jets you need and I can include those too.50 bucks shipped in

Did you lay the bike on its side when you put it in your car? If so, gas obviously spilled out of the carb.
Thanks, Chris.Ground wires were the first thing I checked roadside and everything is fine. I keep my Magnum pretty clean and routinely check all that stuff too. My kill switch is just a small toggle and I have a spare so I'll probably try replacing that first just to rule it out.I had been running with that NGK plug & wire setup for a a couple of years with no trouble. Maybe it's a d
NGK CR22 wire, resistor boot & BR7HIX plug.
Out riding my Magdumb a few weeks ago - just cruising around town, not pushing it or doing anything stupid (well, besides riding a moped), when my motor suddenly shut off like I hit the kill switch. Low temp, no weird sounds, sputtering, etc., it just died.Got it home and realized I have no spark. Threw in a fresh plug, still nothing.Setup is Gila / HPI Mini Rotor w/ Trailtech 'Dial-a-bright
