Factory Boyesen ports. And check out that intake port.As for porting... There's some cleanup here and there to smooth out some casting imperfections, but I'm pretty sure this kit will rip without changing any port timings. He wants a high torque bike that doesn't suffer from heat fade.

Just got this rare Franco Morini Metrakit from Spain for a friend’s AV7 build.Cylinder: Big exhaust port, bridged transfers, interesting intake and boost arrangement, Boyesen ports, and cast iron liner with over molded aluminum. Huge fins, huge reeds, huge piston, and the transfer tunnels look like a Much cleaner puch hero kit with higher timings.Piston: Fairly plain, 47mm two ring, 12mm wrist pi

30 miles on a charge minimum makes it a fantastic commuter vehicle.I commute 13 miles to work, I'd love to have a reliable little electric bike I could unplug in the morning, ride to work, plug in at work, and ride home on a fresh charge I didn't have to pay for.I live in new england and I like my skin intact, so when november rolls around, the bike gets mothballed for 6 months in a clim

Increasing take-off speed without sacrificing top end...There's a whole science to it. Increasing Just torque is easy, keeping your ability to rev and not blow up is hard.

The Esoteric approach teaches you more overall. And then you learn a Lot more, when you go and try and teach someone else, because you have to stop and Explain why doing something the intuitive way is incorrect.Usually it goes along the lines of "Because"."Because if you do it that way, you'll get two miles down the road and have to walk back and do it again correctly."Th

Besides, it's not like those other high spec parts won't make, say, even a Kstar kit sing. You put an Estoril, stuffed crank, decent CDI, Jammer clutch and big carb on Any 70cc kit and you're gonna get good performance. The difference in power between a Kstar and a Gila is around the same as the difference in power between a stock cylinder and the Kstar. At least, as they're g

The issue with the Gila kit is that Yes, you have to weld up and match your transfers, yes you'll have to bore out your cases, and yes, you'll have to pick a pipe and intake combo that work on your bike. But there are other roads to power that cost less money and take about the same amount of work. The 70cc Athena kit, or it's clone are a good place to start, and even a Kstar kit ca

Swap in a Doppler head, that will bring up your bottom end. That cylinder can be aux ported, which will bring the hit from the pipe up without sacrificing too much torque.A clutch pulley is gonna be a must to bring up that bottom end kick without sacrificing top end. with french bikes, a lotta the improvements you're gonna see cost Money instead of another part of performance.Looking good tho

I'm down in New Bedford and I'm kinda the Quartermaster of a small moped gang. More a tribe really. People keep riding my motobecanes, falling in love and then just Needing a moped of their own.I don't Book Face because I like keeping my internet life as distant from my real life as possible, but I'm on Telegram @Motodrachen.Oh, also, I cook. I've been told my cooking i

I need to locate a small direct injector I can wire up to a megasquirt and a couple of sensors so I can build a head for a 70cc bike and destroy at the NEMA races. And then get banned for being a smartass.

Solves the frothing problem, dunno how well it will work with the high intake pulse from a rotary vane, I ran mine on reeds.Don't pull the choke plate like the racing guide says on these, you need it for starting the bike.I'm also not rev

Unless you have a CNC setup, your best bet is to center up your mill on your combustion chamber, and cut the squish with a flycutter, and a piece of HSS ground to the angle you want. Use lots of WD-40, or flood lubricant if possible.

.35mm, the polini Blue. Works great. With reeds and some basic porting, that cylinder will want to rev over 9K on an estoril, and pull hard the whole way.
Max Johnson — 6 years ago
I think that this usually isn't so much of a problem because most folks will pipe their stock cylinder before breaking out the dremel.
Max Johnson — 6 years ago
It's actually really easy to make a spacer and mill out a K'star's intake with a dremel so it takes AV10 reeds. And then the point is moot.
Max Johnson — 6 years ago
I'd suggest dropping the currency and getting a crate AV10 if they're in stock. Then you have kit options after you blow out That bore.

Port timing and compression are the best way to restrict an engine And retain efficiency and torque. But they go Along with the smaller carb and so forth. The honda hobbits were awesome because the restrictions on power were minimal. The Batavus, not so much.Gigantic gains can be had with a pipe, aux exhaust ports, and reed valves.

We need a bunch of regional subforums. Really hard to find local riders, except at rallies, and like 80% of those folks don't go on the forums.

Nah, it's set up correctly. If the rings are oriented on the exhaust port side you'll snag a ring.
