Bought some bars. Still willing to sell the M bars. PM me if interested.

I have the flywheel with a sheared keyhole that I'd sell on the cheap. Or I might could think of some A3 parts I would trade for it.

Sorry Max, those look too small for me.Princess, how high are those Pinto bars?
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
How high do they rise?Interested in trading for brand new M bars:https://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/read.php?2,3659223

I these have brand new M bars:https://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=moped-handlebars-M-bars-blackBrand new, never used. I need something that rises a little higher, like 4-6in or so. Show me what you got.

Whatever you get, don't forget a voltage regulator and resistor plug or boot.

Don't know about "best" but I used the flywheel and stator from the treatland ZA50 setup combined with a 5-pin scooter coil and CDI box I bought on Amazon. Works great. Just don't use the cdi box and coil that comes with the treatland ZA50 setup. It's shit.

On second thought, I think I used the pick with the 90 degree bend, not the hook. It's easier to release the spring
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
I used my teeth. Then I wised up and started using a hook-ended pick, like from the set below. Works pretty well.

Ok, I should have said "cable housing" not "cable". The threaded end is attached to the cable housing.I'm replacing all my cables and housings because I want black housings and because the ones I have are pretty tattered. No biggie if I can't find it, but I'd pay $5-10+shipping if I found one.
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
Haha, I just posted a question about the opposite end of the same cable.I might have one laying around. I sold my carb a while back and don't remember if I sent that part with it. I'm out of town now, but I can check when I get back in town next week. But I second the opinion you're better off getting a new carb if you can't find it.

The throttle cable on my NC50 has a threaded end on the throttle side (not the carb side). It's M10 threading. Anyone know where I can find a cable with this end?

Is your Express stock? If so, those Mikunis are overkill. You will have a much easier time tuning if you go with a Dellorto 15.15 carb. Even if you add a kit and a pipe at some point, the 15.15 is still good enough for most.

Weather should be nice tomorrow. I'll be working on my Express in my driveway in the afternoon regardless of whether anyone comes by. I'll probably go for a ride with my gf afterwards. If you want to join for wrenching and/or riding, send me a PM and I'll give you my address.WillD, I'd be happy to help your sister in law with her Express and I'm sure others here would too

I have a setup similar to your option B on my A3:70cc Airsal kit10mm roller bearing15.15 DellortoSlightly reduced rear sprocket (forgot the exact size, just 2-4 teeth less than stock)ZA50 cdi stator and flywheel with 5-pin scooter box and coilBiturbo exhaust (it came with the ped, haven't felt the need to replace it)Very minor case matchingI have the timing tuned for low end, but I can still

I'm free Saturday if anyone wants to come over and wrench/ride. I'm out of town the two weekends after that. PM me if you want to join and I'll send you my address.I forgot to mention that we made a facebook page for Pittsburgh mopeders last year:https://www.facebook.com/groups/158367594334468/I'll post on there to see if some other folks want to join us.

A few of us got together a couple of times last summer to ride and wrench. I'd be down to do it again soon. I have two running peds, but all the wrenching I need done is on my NC50 that's not running now, so I'd be down to host a day of wrenching and beers at my place in Friendship. I have a shitty garage and a bunch of shitty tools. I could also throw the NC50 in the back of my

I'm putting a wc kit on my '78 NC50 and have two questions:Does the order of flow matter? It's easier to keep my hoses tidy if water flows in this order: pump->radiator->cylinder->pump Is this ok or is it better to do pump->cylinder->radiator->pump?Is there any advantage to using a water temp gauge instead of a head temp gauge? Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

They have a lot of stock odds-and-ends that are hard to find elsewhere. I've ordered from them a few times with no problems.

It's a bitch. Looking really closely at the shop manual only got me so far with the spring orientation, but trial-and-error did the rest. I remember that the right orientation was a little counter-intuitive, but don't remember why.I load the starter spring few clicks before putting the cover on, to keep everything held in place. A few more clicks might be necessary afterwards to get ev

> More Info ????Are you asking for more info on my setup, or asking for more info on the bearing replacement from Kevin?I have a stock A3 bottom end with the 70cc airsal kit, so it's a 10mm wrist pin. It would be great if I could throw that roller bearing on it.
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
> press out the small end bushing and put in a 10mm honda roller bearingWhoa, I never knew that would work. Would I use this bearing for a stock A3 crank?

Nevermind, bought another triple tree
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
How much? What's the ID on the head tube hole?
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
I'll take that triple tree off your hands for $10+shipping, but I've got no use for the other stuff.

Thanks man, that Vino radiator looks to the the right size. If anyone knows the dimensions, hit me up.

I'm looking for a radiator that's around 6x8'' and it looks like Honda Ruckus radiators are about right, but I have a couple of concerns:1) They're normally fan cooled, so I wonder whether they'd cool well without the fan. I'd put it where it would catch wind.2) Someone on a Ruckus forum wrote this:"The top Hose hook up is Pressed in and held in place by sa

I installed some springs that I believe were originally intended for a TrickMetric Hammer clutch. They fit perfectly, but even though they were some of the stiffer aftermarket springs available they were only a little bit stiffer than the stock NC50 springs and didn't end up helping my acceleration much. Maybe the stock NC50 springs are so stiff because the NC50 clutch only uses two springs
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
FWIW, I was using a 15.15 SHA carb and stock cylinder with the MLM pipe when it was quiet. I got decent top speed, but acceleration at low end was pretty weak. Maybe the MLM pipe kicks in too late for the stock cylinder or maybe I didn't tune right, I don't know. There are ways around it, like drilling a hole in your clutch shoes to lighten them.
Rob GasketFace — 8 years ago
How much for the radiator alone? Is it this one:http://www.1977mopeds.com/parts/engine/cooling/peugeot-polini-radiator.html
