I don't have a single seat but am willing to trade money for your seat if you have a price in mind and pics for the seat? The seat pan on my double seat is phukkktt

Hey, so i was looking to get a bit more performance out of my stock set up with a 15.15 SHA. I plan to port soon so that should help, however i was also looking for a performance pipe to put on this set up that would be a pretty easy bolt up or modified a bit, but not have to get rid of pedals or kickstand. Although if it has to be modified, I would need someone to do that for me as i do not hav

I'm not exactly sure, what comes stock on a 15.15 straight from treats.. Idk what to check to find out either.. Any advice?
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
Thanks for all the help! I will check if the slide opens all the way in the light tomorrow or the next day. Also I get confused when i read in posts that to get any effect from the dellorto you need a matching intake and to match the case? Well i get a matching intake, but what does it mean to match the case or something like that? I plan to port soon because I can only reach 26mph on a straig

It doesn't have the head tag.. It's been removed. It does however have the 12v system three coils in the stator, the large sprocket in the rear i think 54 teeth or something? or 45 might be dyslexic. Either way its the larger sprocket and it variates so its either the 25 mph bike or the 30 mph bike... Is there stuff in the ports of the engine that make the difference between 25 and 30

https://www.treatland.tv/leo-vince-motobecane-black-performance-pipe-p/leo-mbk-black-pipe-shelf-wear.htmAny body try this pipe on a '77 50v. If so is there any performance upgrade and does it bolt up or are there mods that need to be made?

turns out the gasket between the intake and the cyllinder was leaky.. I did the drown it out with carb cleaner technique and found the leak!! thanks guys. Now it idles great and variates fully, however how long of a straight do i need to get it up to top speed? It seemed sluggish maybe im just fat and the bike is heavy but i could only get it up to like 26... I'm running a new belt and a 15.1
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
Thanks! I will check for leaks later this afternoon.
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
thanks for the response weak-ends Tj do you care explaining how you figure based on my symptoms? The idle speed does not decrease when choked and restricting the air in the carb, also how would an air leak affect if the variator engages? I'm not doubting your expertise, just looking for explanation on how and why.

two things:1. Sooo my moby idles really really fast. Checked the throttle cable and made sure the slide was completely shut. It is. Then adjusted the idle screw all the way out. Still fast enough to pull a rider up to speed without using the throttle at all. Anyway, could this be a symptom of timing or something else or do mobys just have irregularly fast idles?2. My moby variates beautifully
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
Okay, thanks everyone for all the help!! I fixed timing and it seems that the engine is running strong.. However with the idle screw screwed almost all the way out the idle is really high, the back wheel turns pretty quickly.. Is there anything else i could adjust other than the throttle cable? I am going to try that later this afternoon.. Do mobys just have high idles or what else could be a pro

I was just having the hardest time restoring spark on my moby.. There is a thread under Moby compression that i was working with the past week or so. It turns out that timing is more important than not.. Check and see if the cam slipped and timing is off. If it is then take the cam off and reset it with clean points too. That's what i did today and revived a healthy spark in a more than ups

Would you be up for trades?

i have tried a new plug and it doesnt seem to work.. B5hs B6hs B7hs and a B8hs. What would cause the voltage to the boot to not e enough to jump the plug gap? Is the plug gap to big or is the voltage not enough indicating another issue? Whatcha got for me Rebel Moby?

i disconnected the old condensor. tried a new ignition coil and still no luck.. I dont think it is the stator set up because evertime i pedal i can get the lights to light up rear and headlight. It seems like a simple system, but not quite sure what i am overlooking here. There is a good ground and the wiring is right. It is hard wired. The points are new, the condensor is new, the ignition c

So to get this straight, do correct timing on points matter for testing of spark with plug outside the cyllinder and touching it to make a complete circuit? I thought it just mattered for when to fire to make a combustion at the right time.. but either way when tested with an ohm meter we got voltage and complete circuits from every place that was supposed to have the conditions.
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
sounds good. I adjust timing today. And now have a no spark situation. when tested with the plug on the outside of the engine grounded out on the cyllinder, there is a fat spark with the first rotation of the pedals then goes away to a very very weak spark.. why is that happening? Any experience with that? Also wouldnt timing not really matter with the plug not in the cyllinder...? The bike is ha

wait so you have to take the cam off to set points properly? will a regular wheel puller work for this job?
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
The only thing i can say as far as the points systems go, is that i remove the novi nut and the outside cover, then go in and remove the screws which hold the old points and put the new points in ordered from treats. The only thing that seems a little screwy with the points is that the little rubber wedge that runs against the cam shaft seems to be too big for the points to set up properly. Does

Also is this known to happen with a brand new dellorto carb? Slash are there any other adjustments i should make to make the new carb work and the bike work in general? How does the float pin leak?
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
What is causing the float pin to leak and how do i fix that?
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
I have whatever the stock set up is for a dellorto SHA 15.15 carb as far as jetting goes.. and i took the exhaust off and cleaned that.. I will do a leak down test. It's just frustrating because i bought it in "running rough" condition and started replacing bad parts and it made it run worse. Not sure if it will ever be reliable..

I have a moby '77 50V. It's red.. does anyone have any side covers they don't want any more? Also if so, how much shipped to 20740 MD...?
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
when it was running better before i tweaked timing new carb the plug was dry and black and sooty.
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
The plug is more on the black wet oily side.. Choke doesnt do anything that i can tell. the piston rings are a bit black but the cyllinder below looks fine no blackness there..
Roger Semour — 11 years ago
I used one of the testers from pepboys that you screw into the spark plug hole with the gauge on top.. I can get it to fire and start some when i put the timing right but it doesnt want to stay running. I have swapped the gurnter with a sha 15mm with matching shorty intake. changed the condensor and new plug. and to get it to start i have to give it WOT and pedal quite a bit.. does that sound r
