fiited a streetcup doppler but i think its tuned to higher revs than my 7k rpm portingfrom a 10mph rolling start im hitting 49mph gps after 400 metres and im happy enough as its still accelerating so maybe low 50's.halfway through making my own pipe at the weld stage. i've been putting it off.

bike was a 50 v with an av7 motor and av7 exhaustyou with me?i fitted a parmakit 82cc motor (av10) (dont think they do av7?)and needed an exhaust.you still with me?so i bought the exhaust in the pic cos my av7 exhaust wouldnt fit.still there?so you can see how ive never owned a std av10 pipe.anyway none of that matters. i just need to know if this pipe is moddable.

my bike was a 50v with av7 engine and exhaust so ive never owned an av10 std pipe.im guessing i fit a larger exit pipe and make sure the holes in the inner baffle are something like on the mods to other pipes?

here's something ive just realisedmy belt was slipping when trying to start so i fitted a new one.still hard to starti fitted rebel mobys counterspring mod - rubber tube bolt and lock nuts and the engine turns over about every 4th downward pedal stroke and starts up.i removed the mod completely and it wouldnt turn over at all even after 20 really hard downward attemptsi refitted it and 3rd &

thanks for that JBOT.due to my reluctance to remove the pedals the carb has to be mounted on a foot long rubber hose. so its already a long way from the motor.ill try a much shorter hose.i must admit my brain thinks that reducing the jet size is like surrendering or accepting failure. ive seen it run well with an 82 so if anything i want to have to fit larger.prob the wrong way to think about it.

i want to know why it is more restrictive than a k&n copy.its basically straight through apart from one layer of tights material.or is it NOT more restrictive but the tuned length is silly and hampering stuff?or is it due to the length of the hose there is a large volume of air that needs to be moved on each suck from the motorand because this is harder work it slows down the speed of air over

TEST RUN RESULTSvery over rich.without air box and with tiny k&n chinese rip off i have a 42 pilot and an 82 main and it runs sweet.but with this thing attached it struggles to rev - 4 stroking.now either the hose is too long or its too restrictive - tights too dense? not enough inlet area?im gonna try just the hose with tights out of the air box to see if runs and that should tell me somethin

inspired by JBOT's shampoo bottle airbox i decided to make an airbox but because i am a tight git i wanted to minimise the cost of parts and because i am lazy i wanted to make it far simpler and quicker to make than Jbotswhat you needa 1 litre Olivio olive oil bottle. -VERY IMPORTANT to use this exact bottle as you only need one cut near neck.1 metre 38mm black corrugated fish pond hose £610

i switched to a parmakit head with no decompressor and even after id reworked it to give me 150 psi its hard to get the motor turning by pedalling.i can start it easier on the stand by putting my whole weight behind each pedal downstrokei messed about making my own springs for the clutch starter arms with 0.9mm piano wire and that made it a lot easier to engage the motor.im thinking with higher co

i searched on here and found issues with the float bowl pressuring up leading to low levels and weakened mixtures - ram air effect.a bit like when you open your mouth at 40mph and go weak

ive got to have a forward facing carb its a phbg clone fitted with k&n filter and want to avoid ram air affecting float levels and other fuelling issues.can i simply bolt a tin can or similar over it? or will i get loads of turbulence giving me problems?or can i wrap it in foam? loose enough to not add to filtration but thick enough to stop the ram air effect?has anyone come up with a good so

https://www.lamobylette.net/motobecane-mbk/moteur/divers/2131-silent-bloc-de-haut-moteur-et-de-ressort-pour-mobylette-motobecane.htmlby mistake i put the mount with the plastic insert in the wrong hole. dunno if this matters?i pulled them through the mounting holes (carefully) so the engine plus spacers fitted nice and snug in between them.i only have one washer and thats on left hand side with th

i might borrow the carb off another of my peds and see if that also overflows. then i know it could be vibration.i fitted an Airsal Race Pro crank and that seems to vibrate much more than the std crank.

thanks for replies chaps. i replaced the engine mounts and ever since then the bike/motor vibrates like mad. mobylette 50v av7and the fuel lines get air in them and i can imagine all sorts of mad stuff happening in the float chambers.the needle valve has the rubber tip and it looks fine. the hole it seats on isnt polished but works when i blow down the fuel line and move the floats.not even a ti

i am getting fuel overflow - sticking float or crap on valve seat on my 19mm phbg clone. not all the time. but once it starts its constant.now before you say throw it away i have two fitted to other peds and they are fine.i have a clear float bowl and i can fit it to see where the fuel level is.but i cant find anywhere on the net etc as to where should it be?also i see listed 2 float/ needle valv

praise from the moby guru, you'll be making my head swell!!!cheers rebeland another thanks as your video helped me replace my engine mountsalthough my smaller socket had a chamfer on it and im sure it was trying to squeeze inside the outer metal casing.i changed to a different one and all went well.i still had to use a tremendous amount of force and my m8 stud nearly cross threaded plus my wa

righti finally managed to adjust the clutch so it would pedal start by fitting weaker springs. nothing else i did had any effect.this is maybe because i am running a non decompressor cylinder head with 150psi compression.but to be fair even with the plug removed the motor seemed reluctant to turn.i checked the arms werent hitting the posts and moved freely but they just felt too tightly sprung co

chicks refers to the kind of woman who amongst other things is happy to pose on a moped or other knowing in doing so she is going to attract lascivious attentionnot all women like doing thisand so therefore not all women are chicksmost of them nowadays have too much respect for themselves to do this kind of thing. but luckily i married a woman who knows how to tick my boxes and will pose for me

ive made a few expansion chambers but never successfully made a silencerive tried a beer can which worked perfectly sound reduction wise but it was too flimsy and the rivets worked looseim thinking maybe an aerosol or spray can would be a lot stiffer?or a tin of beans with maybe leaving the label on for effect?the bike is french so maybe snails or frogs instead of beans?or has anyone come up with

excellent stuff as usual rebeli am having problems with my starter clutch as you know and was hoping to strip it down again today but i had to attend to the wheel and other issuesearly next week i will report back with my findings as unless im doing something else wrong moving the springs to their weakest setting is allowing the motor to rev more before the clutch engagesi would have thought that

ive machined heads before at home in a drill and i sometimes get rough spots in the surface that i cant work out how they get there?speeding the drill up to dangerous speeds in one hand and dremel in the other gets quite scary as my vice wont grip the drill properly, drill laid flat seemed to work bestfinished off with emery gets it nice and smoothfirst time i thought i'd machined loads off b

yeas its a parmakit head and what makes it worse is im running no head gasket.that pic is from jennings booki buretted cc of head to 5.1ccat tdc my chamber volume is 5.1cc plus deck height volume 1.47cc minus dome of piston 2.34 = 4.23ccvolume above exhaust port (30.07mm) to top cylinder plus chamber minus piston dome = 55.9cc 55.9/4.23 = 13.2so ratio = 13.2. thats just way too highshou

ive got the old points rotor so nowhere to easily fit bolts without drilling holestried rope around the outside but it was too short livedi managed to pedal like mad with the gauge inserted and got the engine to spin in spurts and it was over 250 psigonna burette it today and work out the ratios.

minimal mineral oil only on small end, i always assemble dry to aid bedding rings insquish goes from 1mm to 0.7 the wrong wayhead gonna need machining anywaybut i like a squish around 0.7mmdunno if the motor doeseven with the engine not turning fully it went to 200ill do the pull starter thing, good idea

3rd questionis there an aftermarket clutch/variator that will allow for starting the bike with no decompressor and im guessing 135 psi? or other trick?id like to keep the pedals so as to make it look slow
