my AV10 motor with std variator clutch (but with clutch starter arms removed) and std pulley and std spring work fine with my 82cc motor no goat. mallossi belt. clutch bite around 5000 rpm.but when i fit an er3 and doppler clutch pulley er86 (modifield) and original spring i get the goat. so its the er3 variator that needs different spring specification.i have made my own spring . i have 4 belts

ive noticed when i ride on uneven roads i get a bounce going on my 50v. once its started it can go on forever. i would like to retain the original forks and rear shockers (pogo sticks) so as to look standard. are there any mods to improve things?

i tried everything and even tried a silkolene 4 litre container.https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@54.0413392,-0.722919,3a,75y,317.56h,86.52t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1ssgGfiCDXxZD5gKzC7fUjVQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en.but i found it was simply too expensive and a waste after pouring all that oil down the drain.....my hose was too long. even at less than a foot. i tried bigger and bigger bottles to try and com

id just like to know what rpm im doing. those common chinese gauges dont seem to work for me. the readout constantly changes.using gearing commander and with a 13/54 std pulley and clutch/variator i can hit 62mph gps with the engine screaming. wont rev any higher. i tried 12/45 today, guessing at my revs which should have resulted in 68mph but it didnt get there. id need a back wind and downhill.

so two identical av10's revving at say 9000 one could sound higher?i thought if they were similar engines they would sound the same.

i want to know what revs im doing. i cant get those cheapo tach hour chinese things to work that wrap a wire round your ht lead,am i right in thinking another av10 revving at the same revs as mine will rev at the same note as in musically?basically they will sound the same?if so can someone post a video of their av10 going through the revs with a tacho showing? then i can compare mine.thx

not wishing to hijack this thread but 2 days ago i achieved my 60mph gps goal on the flat into a slight head wind with the parmakit 82cc and with a slight gear up i reckon 2 or 3mph is all i can wish for. so im thinking of going watercooled on another 50v ive bought and going over your thread for tips.> Alan Jackson wrote:> -------------------------------------------------------> hahaha

you mean the curved dark line from the spark plug hole? it looks like a casting flaw to me because there is one opposite but not as defined.

i use indexing washers on longer reach plugs to get the gap facing the exhaust port and into the chamber the right amount. i use denso iridium expensive plugs.false economy. your ports dont seem very chamfered. i go way over the top with my chamfering knowing i am losing performance but gaining longevity of rings etc. i also go over rich to help prevent overheating again at the expense of performa

i borrowed 4 gauges off a local bike repair shop and tested them alongside my 2.2 of them read identical and 2 got thrown away. so much difference. the best two were old school gunsons from the 1980'sthe newer gunson available on amazon was way out.

but wouldnt it be better to fit that block in the headlamp fed by one wire?its fed by one wire as it is.

yeah ive seen your "notched" vari lock. i just thought if the ramps were stepped then there would be a bit more predictable "gear changes"

10 years agoi used to run 210 psi for short spells (holed a piston) but then settled on 150psi as my target. 2 years ago i reduced this to 135 and this year im happy with 120 on my moby. (still wont pedal start)must be an age thing...wish my blood pressure would come down with age...

im no expert on electrickery but I'd just use one wire to take the power to somewhere hidden where all your electric bits live. headlamp? near to your switches? cant you just use the bikes present wiring?

+1 on the oil reservoirs. i was gonna say that.

i was wondering if there was anyway you could have stepped ramps in the variator so as to emulate gear changes?stepped and angled?would/could something like that work?
