I love qt, saved lunch money for months to buy one in like 92. I'd love to get a hold of one now and it looks like you're doing a good job on it so far. I know you said the stock foot pegs were in good but I always remember those things being flimsy as hell.

32. Re: Has anyone ever used plastidip?

Mike Price — 9 years ago
Forum: General Discussion
When I was researching it for my wheels a lot of the negative reviews involved it coming into contact with petroleum products which is like every part of an old moped. Gas, oil, chain lube etc. if you end up trying and having decent results let me know.

I wanted to try that on a dart of wheels but it ended up costing more than paint and less resilient. Cool stuff though

50. Re: 1996 puch korado. Need help please

he said the wheel by itself moves and without the chain the sprocket is frozen. Before you tear the whole motor down try pulling the clutch out, you will need a special tool though and probably some sort of piston stop.

I you take the chain off will the sprocket spin? The korado has a different case so without modding you can fit a 16t max. It looks like the chain is butting up against the case

Can you take a picture of the top view of the sprocket?

that silver part attaches to the main drive gear that spins the left sprocket directly attached to the tire so if that doesnt turn that part of the motor wont spin and if that doesnt spin it would explain why he thought the starter clutch was worn out.

well that makes sense if your backwheel doesnt roll.

55. Re: 1996 puch korado. Need help please

Mike Price — 9 years ago
Forum: Repair
well thats right....the clutch is centrifugal so it will engage the silver parts once it hits a certain rpm. so when you spin the silver part the back wheel doesnt spin? if the rear wheel wont move at all youll never get the bike to kick over

just to clarify does the back wheel roll? manually spinning the flywheel wont move the back wheel. on the right side spin the clutch hub.

the cable going into the cover attaches to a lever, which way does the lever face.

58. Re: 1996 puch korado. Need help please

Mike Price — 9 years ago
Forum: Repair
take the silver cover off of the left side (sitting on it) of the engine, should be 2 tiny phillips head screws. Under that it the flywheel see if you can turn that by hand. If all is fine there try adjusting the starter clutch cable, it may just need to be tightened.
