i would guess some sort of bad ground maybe. check the grounds and disconnect everything you dont needthread jack: what happens if my cdi is sparking fine and then all of a sudden stops. and nothing i do fixes it, different bikes, different combos of everything. i guarantee something has died in it. whats the most common part that dies? the cdi box?

drill a few screws into the brake tab on the forks so they stick out farther, just make sure its stable

weird, i have the same kit with 14 bing/high flow air filter + high comp head with a 70 jet with needle on top clip and its way too rich on the low end, pretty much unridable. perfect mid/top though. once i get past 10 or so it shreds. did you have this problem at all? phbg on the way..
ok ok, i know this was asked somewhere but i couldnt really find the exact answer. i figured this post was a good place for this question. i picked up an mb5 but it doesnt have the key with it, whats the easiest way to bypass the key, can i just hardwire it? which wire is it that i have to wire up for spark. i have it between either black/yellow, black/white, and i THINK green is ground. or i also

what exactly does that "bing slide top clip" thing do? it doesnt seem like it really serves a purpose. what happens if you run it without that? sorry for thread jack, but seemed relevant maybe?

hm.. yea ive heard of people doing that on polinis but those have reeds, not sure if thats a different story. when i had the 84 in it was waaay to rich. my plugs are chocolate brown too, not lean at all.

yea i was thinking rich too. my mix is like 40:1. i know im way too rich on the low end, but theres nothing i can do about that right now because of my carb. 14 bing. its running great after 1/4th throttle, but once it warms up its a challenge to get it past the low end. im on the leanest needle setting right now, and i dont know if i want to jet any smaller because im afraid to go too lean. im ru
ok, nevermind then haha. yea, i noticed that, it looks like it was leaking a little bit, i had to add some home made soda can head gaskets because the piston was hitting the head so thats probably why. good thing i just got a couple extra real ones in the mail
i just finished building my maxi from the ground up, and i have a 70cc dmp, rev run, and right now im using the stock head. i just took the head after about 50 or so miles of riding total and the piston crown is like a dark brownish color, looks like it could be carbon deposits or somethng, i have no idea. im not positive, but i dont think this is what its supposed to look like. ive heard the term

i have a 70cc dmp kit, 14 bing and mlm rev run pipe and im using a 78 jet. it runs perfect mid to top end but low end is rich because of the shit carb and dies sometimes.
my mlm rev run is gnarly as fuck i love it

Are phbgs hard to get the hang of? Never dealt with one before.Update: I moved the needle to the leanest position and now it runs and idled better than ever. Plug chops are even better than before. Got up to 43 pretty much full throttle and pretty fast. Only thing is after it warms up I still feel a little rich on the low end, it bogs sometimes a little on take off. yea the rev run makes mine sound like a lawn mower haha. i love it.but yea im thinking im a little rich idling/low end. i still have some tuning yet to do. i dont really know anything about phbgs and how to do all that shit with them so im just sticking with my bing til i get some more money and time. but the bing works pretty well so far
i have free spirit forks on my maxi which i think are the same length as the magnum ones, and its comfortable as fuck
