There's also the electric start.

Odd; I don't have mine on at the moment, but...there's pretty much just one obvious way to connect the throttle cable on a Hobbit carb. What's stopping it from springing back? Perhaps upload a photo of yours?

I'm making a secret group for straight moped riders; Jeremy Shay's not invited

Tubeless tires only work with compatible rims, so, no.

Hm, well, I've put silver bullet five-stars on an '93 A35 Sprint and they worked just fine. I can't imagine newer frames/forks are that different.

I lol'd hard at 'Not embarrass me in front of friends, family and neighbours, e.g. talking in public '

Great backup for when your tail light goes out. I have one on my Tomos too.

Sex can get pretty dangerous sometimes, I'd recommend keeping your helmet on

A Tomos seizing at idle is a big red flag. Even jetted totally wrong. Did you accidentally run straight gas? Snag a piston ring perhaps?

Here's what I don't get about the Revival...if it's trying to look like a motorcycle, then WHY IS IT A STEP-THROUGH?
Eoban Binder — 10 years ago
I totally love the look of this bike. That said, ditch the Monster sticker pleeeease?
Eoban Binder — 10 years ago
Use some common sense here. Does the grinding happen when the bike's rolling, or simply when it's running? If it's the former then it's probably something with your sprocket or chain or wheel bearings. If it's the latter it could be one of your clutches.

I don't totally understand what your plan is, but I feel like you're probably going to wind up with air leaks. What size SHA do you have? If you have a 14/12 there's really no advantage to using a bigger intake than the stock one anyway.

Does cmsnl actually have any PA50 parts? From what I can tell it's just minibike and CB stuff.

I doubt very many people are going to know the answer to this. You're probably going to get a better answer on an actual scooter forum, like ScootDawg.

But couldn't you tell from a 220x165 thumbnail that it was 'mint'???

I'd say you should've posted this to Moped Performance, but then again you don't even have a moped.

TOMOS USA, ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION TO HOW MUCH PEOPLE WANT BIKES LIKE THESE?
Eoban Binder — 10 years ago
As far as I'm concerned, if you have the willpower to cut a VIN out of a frame and weld a new one in, you deserve to be able to register it and ride. A 30 year-old Maxi is just about at the bottom of the 'things the police should be worrying about' list. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Anyone tried one of those $35 Keihin clones that are all over eBay? Anyone know what the bore is, what jets they take, etc?
Eoban Binder — 10 years ago
Kudos to buying new. Someone's gotta keep Tomos USA in business.

Wow, how did an AV92 end up in Québec?God that orange paint's amazing.
Eoban Binder — 10 years ago
With some creative hacking and welding Tomos engines can be mounted fairly easily on Puch frames; I've probably seen this done a dozen times now.Mounting a 103 on anything but a Pug frame is obviously way less straightforward. Would probably be a more interesting build though.

What a waste of a General tank. Those tanks are cool as fuck but they're definitely not the style of tank that board track racers had. Frame's the wrong shape, too.
