so iv messed it with some more and i found that if i put my finger near the carb as it accelerates it seems so be able to make it to open throttle but if i take it away it instantly drops down again. so i put a bigger jet in it and it does the same thing just not as bad as before

so i just bought a puch maxi sport and cleaned it all up nice and it has great spark and everything. when i went to fire it up it idled nice and everything and the carb didnt leak or anything so it was pretty nice. i then tried to open the throttle and when i opened it to a certain point it would just cut out until i dropped it back down. does this mean im running to lean? i pulled my plug later a

i have a sachs moped and i recently put a round bing on it. i was trying to get it tuned up and it seemed to be running very lean. when i would accelerate the throttle could only be turned about half way and then it would die until i turned the throttle back to the point were it would begin accelerating. i tried starting it after it had stopped and it wouldnt stay running, even when i would open t

Gas is getting into the carb. when i prime it it fills up and everything is normal. i also have a fuel filter to catch rust. ive taken the carb off and checked to see if the need rises when i pull the throttle and it does. im pretty sure my jet is clean but i will check again.

so i had a decompression release valve on my sachs engin head. but it broke so now i have the clutch cable by pass the head and go right to the clutch. what does the release valve do? nothing seems to have changed now that its broken.

i took a old break cable wire and frayed the end so it was all rough and brissley like a brush. then took the other end and put it in a drill or dremal tool. i took the frayed end and put it in petcock hole and the gas cap hole and fired up the drill. it seemed to work pretty good. then i flushed the tank with water and gas. make sure you dont flush it with gas first and then go back for more brus
