So I need a 2.5-17 and a 3.0-17 tire and I can't find anything online. Everything is out of stock or super back-ordered.Anyone know where I can get some nice racey tires that are actually in stock so I won't have to wait 6 months?

I just bought some levers like that and I'm gonna try to fit them on a ped project. It'll take some work but I think it might be wicked.!http://i8.ebayimg.com/05/i/001/10/b1/3cce_1.JPG!

Nice man, I like it.Seats are pretty easy to work with. You may not need to replace it just take the cover off cut the foam down a bit (I use a turkey carver I got from a thriftstore for like $3, it works perfect) and recover it. Also fiberglass is pretty easy to work with if you want to do a bump for the back.

Basically got the bike for free but it would have been around $600 plus about $250 in parts. I saved a lot of money by doing everything myself (paint, upholstery, etc). But it's how I supplement my income so it should be a good money maker.

The headers were all messed up so I wrapped them in a fiberglass wrap they use on motorcycles sometimes. Kinda liked the look and cheaper than new pipes. Still like $50 though.

Don't have money to swap 'em out. Will do soon though. Damn motorcycle tires. $180 + $90 to have them swapped out and balanced. Moped stuff is so cheap.

Quick question. Website says the M62s are tubeless, is that right? Anything I should know about installing tubeless tires?
ethanol — 14 years ago
Cool! Thanks guys. I bought the Michelin Gazelle M62s one in 2.5-17 for the front and 3-17 for the rear.Gonna be nice!

Thanks Ian, those look pretty sweet. Michelin makes a good tire. Is there anything similar that has a "slicker" look to it?I'm having a bitch of a time navigating that site.

I'm looking for some nice sporty looking tires, maybe Savas, 2.50-17.Where's a good place to buy them online? Also if I have space so they won't rub how large do you think I can go?

The thing on the left rear is the shaft drive. It's not a rotor. The 78 xs 750s have 3 disc brakes. Seriously.
Ethan0l — 14 years ago
Those bikes feel rally heavy until you get them moving. In fact they are pretty heavy (around 550 lbs). I'm a pretty big guy (6'4", 200lb) and I could barely get the damn thing on a center stand. once you're riding it though it's pretty nimble. There's something crazy about 2 wheels that can make something fun to ride if it's 50cc or 750cc. I prefer to stay more a
