I go to a local walneck's swap as well,maybe 3 acres of vendors vs. 30 at vintage days!
No,just undue the nut(LEFT HAND THREAD)and just falls off.The timing cam is seperate.I use an electric impact wrench with a 3/8 adaptor to remove said nut.But I understand it isn't required to romove the old one.
You shouldn't have to remove the old one,just cut the screw on connector off the chevy condensor & replace it with a female plug.Then unplug the short connector at the coil(kill switch)& plug new condensor to it.Use your decomp for kill switch.
I try to go every year,I picked up 2 moby VLA'S for$175& a garelli SSXL for$150 in '08 or'09.I went this past year to pick up my magnum,that I bought on ebay.I passed up a buttload of Hobbit parts,been kicking myself in the ass ever since!
2nd on the condensor,go to autozone & ask for one for a 6cyl chevy,'72 or earlier vintage.
Not gonna make it,I feel like shit today,don't wanna push it with the holidays coming.I'll see you guys next time,gonna start getting ALL my bikes running!First one will be a Garelli SS XL.

Yes,I had a wonderful time.I didn't get a lot of my stuff done,but I had a great time helping out others,helping assemble a freshly power coated'68 k10,that will help me on my own k15!All that grinding on katelyn's sebring/puch,helping out on 2 maxies.Scored on some parts,got a seat covered(thanks,jon) Camped out in my vw camper(shutting off the power to my heater was NOT funny!)
