I thought I was over thinking it , I want everything on my engine blacked out and had read people being like it'll over heat....thanks.
Well then What about top end ect?
I did a search and didn't find much.I'm looking for opinions from people who have done this or or have tried.I know general theory says you powder coat your case you are going to hold more heat in.I can see how this would effect the ped when just sitting still, say like at a stop light, but what about in running conditions. How much of a difference do you think it actually makes?just wond
Not a whole lot of info to go on friend. However, this is assuming everything else is in functioning ordertry to jet somewhere in the range of "too high that you know it's not going to work" and safely work your way down.and check spread sheet to get an idea of what everyone else is running.
agree with elliot.my first build took forever because I was still learning too much and I just put parts on and tried to go.if you have the know how, its a different story!
not trying to sound cocky in the thread, and I understand you can put parts on a bike and not be fast.I was trying to weigh the performance gain for the money spent for where my bike is currently, and generally I trust Benji's opinion. So despite that, I bought them and then realized even if I don't notice much of a difference I smiled when I clicked purchasing, knowing I'd have a pa
Yes i read it, just wanted to see what anyone else was thinking, and before you ask. The ped I will be putting it on has practically everything you can already get/do to it done.
Treats has them up now.Has anyone used these and can attest to their performance gains?Just wondering because on the Malossi 4 petal you would have to buy two of them making it about a 50 dollar investments in reeds. For 50 dollars I would hope a big difference.
as stated a few times already.very good choice in color.
thinking about putting the 21mm malossi reedvalve on my puch with polini64 kit.trying to see pictures basically....can you still mount this and have the carb tucked away or is it going to have to sit out in space (towards front wheel)thanks
i would think it's the clutch before stator and timing?i've read ALOT about setting the timing on a puch for a while to make sure i got mine right. i've messed with a few different settings and still have this problem.engine definitely doesn't slow down and struggle.sounds like the engine is going (except i'm not going anywhere haha).then, like i previously stated after I&
ok i'll try that.what type of synthright now i have atf f in it....
be nice to see that write up and pics! waiting to see other peoples examples!
i know simo is a high end pipe. it's the shit when it kicks in thats for sure.but like i stated previously, i could wot throttle at a stop (no bog whatsoever) and basically have to push myself to even get going.and once im kind of going then im good and then end up taking offstator already full advancepoints set to .0163 shoe clutch set up for 720 out or whatever (i couldnt find the thread
so i normally don't post and try to find this however i've searched and not found much.working on a puch where i basically built it from the ground up.starts and runs.idle sounds good.however when i start out the bottom end is slooooow.it's not boggy from too much gas, because it doesn't sound like it and it doesn't shut off.It does take forever to get going from a stop, l
just put a simonini on my puchand you really feel it when it kicks in, don't know if it's the bestbut im happy as hell with it

I've got the 12v coil, and the internal ignition on their way in the mail right now. hoping to get this done this week myself.even more stoked nowstraight wire ftw
what about the "performance" springs on mopedshop.com for puch?how do those rate compared to blue/paz?
yeah, i have a round bucket from treats, i ended up finding a 55w halogen and with barely any mods (10minutes worth) it fits and runs good. thanks all
autozone didn't have a straight up 12v 55w, im gonna have to mod something to fit the round bucket?
so anything less is gonna blow the second I rev right?
so I just put on the treats cdiI bought some 12.8v 12 watt lights, blew them real fast.So before I buy more, what is everyone else running?
leave your plug the same, your weather shouldn't be soooo drastic that you need a 5.Somebody else chime in?I have worked on a ton of peds and own a bunch as well, from stock to mad rippin. NOT ONE uses a 5 or when i put a 5 in runs well.stay a 6 or 7, whatever you currently useas for upjetting, who knows?go a few sizes up and check how rich you are, only you can tell so jet higher, check th
I wouldn't change the plug to a 5. I have a few peds that are pretty heavily modified and they really don't like anything less than a 6.Colder air means MORE DENSE air. More dense air literally means you are now able to cram more air into your engine.Ever notice how on cool fall evenings your engine all the sudden feels real beastly whereas that afternoon it didn't?When it gets ver
Think about it this way:the gas and air have to be a certain mixture of each other in order to run. Too much of one, or too little of another will keep your ped out of sync and make you run rich or lean (bog or gasp for air).If you are running, and jetted correctly, then you go and add an air filter that allows way more air flow into the engine, then your ratio changes. Now you will have same amou
I guess it'll remain a mystery :(started today with pushing, whereas if I run and hop on then pull clutch ( i could watch the magneto barely turn all the way till when the bike was slowing down, then turned faster).I guess ultimately something isn't constant, or I just suck at explaing haha thanks anyways
