i see a lot of articles on here about this and was just wondering- if it has been sitting for years if maybe the sound will go away after a while- this thing only has 600miles on it- it's the 2speed and seems to do it only when idling or moving slow- the noise is hard to explain but it runs just fine- i just wish i knew someone here that i could start it up around that knew-
ok- that was it- the damping stop did not come with the fork rebuild parts- anyone know where i can get them???
only one side does it? and the parts are all the same for both sides- is there a bushing on the inside top of the forks? i have looked at diagrams and it doesn't look like it but then again maybe it's the wrong diagram-
am i missing something? a bushing maybe? tight or not still dogs to one side??? hmmm...?grrrrrr!
so i got a rebuild kit for my puch front forks because they wouldn't stay aligned- one side had a stripped head screw- i rebuilt them but the front still doesn't want to stay tight and aligned?- it dogs to one side and when i turn them there is "play"- has anyone had this problem? it would be a shame to have to get a new fork set after purchasing a rebuild kit-
so i ordered a new set of fork lock with keys from mopedwarehouse.com but for the life of me don't know how to replace it- i can't seem to get the old lock out- any ideas on how to go about this would be greatly acknowledged-thank you-Kristin Lee
A friend of mine gave me an old PUCH moped in hopes that i would be able to fix and use it. The problem is that it has been stripped and repainted with no emblems at all. I have yet to find what year and model it is.I have never rebuilt a moped but would like to start. I would like to get tips on how to find out what it is. I will get some photos later and post them.
