Sorry I can't be choosy I didn't know I had to buy one right away to please people. I don't understand why people feel the need to comment just because I haven't bought any local yet. SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
DHarvey whats the screw and bolt on the frame of the moped that hits the engine, you can adjust it but what is it for. That issue when its like that you can barely push the moped its engaged but not running. Again if I push down on the engine it rolls nice and smooth but when I lift off the engine it goes right back to it being difficult to push or start. Thank you for all your help. Not very many

I see that but Seal All is the shit.
SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
MH is the preload screw on the clutch lever if not where is it.
SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
Downhill Harvey I replaced the bearing about a month ago that the belt sits on. I think the Vario is on the side where the clutch cable is correct. So take the plates off and the spring and make sure the brass bushing is in correct. You still have a cell phone.

Hi, sorry for all the question but if you don't ask you wouldn't know. So here it goes my commuter runs great and everything but when you start it I have to push down on the engine and it starts right up. It seems like the engine in engaged already. If I pedal it I don't even have to pop the clutch it starts right up any idea's on how to fix it. Other then that it runs smooth a

Thank you for all the post. I found the leak it wasn't on the tan itself it was on a piece of weld that had a hair line crack super small. I used a great product called Seal All awesome stuff and really reasonable. I'm stoked it all worked out.

Rick the petcock is off and it's still leaking. What's the best way to tackle this issue. I don't think it's in the petcock but it might be. If it's in the tank what's the easiest way to solve it.Thanks
SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
Thank you guys
SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
Thanks for responding Alex I checked the petcock no leak, the carb is good it's not coming from there the float is good. I did not notice any rust spots on the bottom of tank. That's why I'm confused on what it could be.Shea

So I noticed a gas leak coming from under the bottom of the tank. I replaced the fuel line to see if that was causing the leak due to a faulty hose but it's still leaking. I looked under and have not noticed anything that it could be from. I checked the fuel valve and it's not leaking from there I replaced the gasket but no luck any ideas. Thanks Shea

Hi have a 1980 columbia commuter just curious on how you check the coolant level and see if there is any in there or needs some. Would I see a huge difference if the levels were low. Thanks
SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
Thanks Downhill Harvey I have been trying to get ahold of you about other issues with the commuter your the only guy that is 100% on those mopeds.
SDizzle johnson — 8 years ago
I see every so often I have a small gas leàk under my moped. I did some looking and it's underneath kind if where the gas valve (on/off/ reserve) is at. I'm wondering would the gas valve cause a leak or what our your opinions. If so how do you tighten you gas valve with out it not being straight.
