I registered my moped in Mass a couple months ago it was easy. I would suggest making an appointment on the dmv website, that way you don’t need to drop off paperwork and then return another day to pick everything up.....you can just get it all done that day. When you go you need the bill of sale, the moped registration form filled out (you can print it off the dmv website) and I think you neede

Those Tao Tao scooters are made cheap. I had a 50cc VIP and the thing broke all the time and it wasn’t old either. If your not a mechanical person, I’d just get rid of it and get something better.

I pick up bikes on the side of the road all the time and fix them up, been doing it since I was a little kid! I generally sell them because there are a lot of people who can’t afford a new one and this way they can get a functioning bike for cheap. It’s amazing what people just toss away too, I’ve gotten some really high end and also newer bikes that need straight forward repairs.

Why would a Pennsylvania moped dealership not have the proper paperwork to register your moped in Pennsylvania? I would expect something like that from a private party sale but not a dealer. Seems a little sketchy, obviously the place didn’t have the title so maybe it’s stolen or something...

I had to pedal about a half mile on mine recently because I ran out of gas. It’s like riding a bike in first gear, real easy to pedal but you go like 2 mph. It would have been easier to get off and push it but I finally had an excuse to use the pedals in an ‘emergency’.

Ive been using drain oil from my car in my weed wacker, leaf blower and chainsaw and I haven’t had any problems in five plus years of doing that. It’s a good way to get rid of the used oil and saves me money not having to get 2 stroke oil. In my Sachs I do use actual 2 stroke oil. I look at the moped as a higher quality thing compared to my weed wacker so I put the proper oil in it. It’s also

Finally got around to snapping a pic of the dealer sticker on my Columbia. Hogan’s Cycle Shop in Agawam, MA which is about ten minutes from me...I brought the ped back to the area after finding it about an hour away.

This must be an April fools day joke because I got passed by a fat guy on a bicycle on level ground recently on my Sachs at full tilt, so there’s no way anyone is getting pulled over on a ped for speeding!

My Sachs came from Ridgewood Cycle Shop in Ridgewood, NJ just outside of NYC. The place is still in business, only selling bicycles now though.

Bump.Someone has this left side cover for my Sachs. They will find it in a pile of parts they have had forever and they will want to send it my way for some much needed cash.

Bump...I’m still looking, someone has got to have one...

3D printing these would be a great idea, it seems many mopeds from various makes are missing these side covers so I’m sure they’d sell pretty fast. The two sides on the Sachs are basically the same but the left has a hole on top above the primer button on the carb so you can stick your finger in and prime it, and there are some differences down around the pedal area...just look through the pics o
