Hey guys, its been a while since i've touched my Jawa. It worked amazing until the second speed clutch seal started leaking. I recently rode a Yamaha Zuma and it really brought back the joy in mopeds into me, my second speed clutch seal is leaking currently, and so my pedals are ineffective in turning over my motor. What could I try? I replaced the seals 2 times now, how does the middle seal
Yes, there is an o ring but no spacer, i ordered that and a couple other things.
So i replaced my starter shoes thinking that was the awnser to the pedal start being so hard to catch on and turn the motor, and that doesnt help, so i take apart the 2nd speed clutch and its covered in oil, I replaced the seal recently, but the o ring in the middle is sitting freely and not pressing onto anything, what could be wrong? The spacer seems way too small to press onto anything.
Im back here again, my starter clutch shoes were worn out, i replaced them and the motor barely turns over when pedaling hard, i tried to put the shoes on backwards but for some reason it has a hard time springing out, it springs out either way though, thanks.
I know this is an old post, but My jawa 210 makes 50 psi hot and cold too, what a shame, piston is destroyed even though it only has 1000 miles on it, i did forget to open the throttle though, ill have to try that out. Somehow it still has plenty of power and pulls me up to 30 mph in at least 10 secs.
As the title says, my jawa 210 will bog and act weird when i accelerate and it still happens if i let it heat up for 30 seconds to a minute, is this normal? Im thinking its dialed too lean, because it runs for 10 seconds with the choke on, I have a dellorto sha14:12 on it.
Sorry for the late reply, I might just change out the dust covers and go with it, is there any way to just put more grease through it? or can i just take the wheel off and release the spring from the top?If i do ill have the parts ready, which there not, Ill just go with the flow for now, I still need to replace some bulbs and small things anyway, so might as well get some clean grease and seals t
Do note that it was sitting in a kind of humid garage, so there is some tiny rust spots on the chrome, but nothing bad.
I can offer 600 cash, I found the bolt that was missing to the fender also.Heres a better photo of it
Yeah, im not expecting too much, still need a bit more patience and a lot more garage space, haha...
Yeah, im not expecting too much, still need a bit more patience and a lot more garage space, haha.
Yeah, im not in a rush, I will have to remove the motor to clean the crap off the top to make sure it doesnt overheat. Should i go ahead and order the parts? I need some spare parts for some things anyway.
by the way thats an older photo, ill try to add a more recent photo.
Has perfect paint, sat in a garage for 20 years, and was brought back from the dead, will need some small things like burnt out bulbs, fender is missing a screw, some plastic pieces and a shock rebuild, runs strong as it only has 777 miles, drove it 20 miles with no problem one day. Has a new clutch, thyristor, ignition coil, and a aftermarket dellorto sha 14:12 carb. Im located in the chicago are
Do you have to take apart the whole front fork to get to the shocks, or is there a shortcut? And what oil can you use? The oil that leaks through the seal is like grease, so i think its time to rebuild the forks. Im new with this front fork rebuild stuff, thanks.
Yep, to this day, its still driving strong, starting first kick, drove like 20 miles with zero problems, just have to replace some out burned out lamps
Most likely thats just the springs on the 2nd speed are weak, thanks for now. Im thinking about registering it, another one will be back on the road
You wont belive it, the thyristor jawashop sent me had a defect, i ordered one from treatland and it started right up, suprisingly i was thinking the spark plug looked rich, but it wasnt, it was burned, i put the 57 back in and now it has a really strong amount of power. Thanks, by the way, what speed does 2nd speed engauge? I think i assembled the 2nd speed clutch wrong cause it feels like it thr
It lost all of the regained spark, it now again has a really weak spark... i give up, if you guys have any awnserd to this then just put them on...It will be from now on sitting in my shed untill something pops up in my brain
Yeah i will, the slide looks like it WASNT supposte to be rich, but most likely it was set up for a bigger engine.
Yeah, i know that, the slide seems to be made to run leaner.
I dont wanna mess with slides, its too confusing to me lol... ill get the even 50s on treatland, thanks for helping me, i was looking for hours on ebay and amazon, without thinking about other websites.
Will a kit with 50 52 but then 55 be ok? I cant find any seperate 53s or any 50s to 55 or something like that, if theres is some website can you send it to me? Thanks.
I think the 4 stroking is also audio visible too, it sounds like a worn out trabant.
The seat is sealing perfectly, it is probably just the jets, i think it was origionally clogged when i ran it for the first time in 20 years cause some of the residue that came from the rusted tank probably clogged part of it, the filter is a bit dirty, so i wouldnt be suprised that it was making it leaner, cause when i wanted to check what number it was, it was a bit clogged, but i cleared it up.
Should i say that the thing was running fine before? The seat looks clean and fine, and the throat of the carb is dry, and theres no leaks. I will try to clean it again, but if that doesnt work ill order a 5 pack from 50 to 55 or something like that, it is wierd that it was working right originally though, but theres definitely no problem with the seat, but ill check again.
Ok, ill order one of those and try it, it seems like it is four stroking
It says 57 on it, what should i do next?
I dont know what type it is, but ill add a link cause i got it from the jawashop with almost no information on it https://www.jawashop.com/carburetor-dellorto-12mm-original_z614/
