I thought 81 was pretty good and my spark plug looked pretty brown but I was doing 3/4 throttle

Messed around with some different jets today and landed on an 81 - much much better.> Brian F Wrote:> -------------------------------------------------------> I don't see any mention of timing? Where's your timing set at?I might be wrong but I think only the point gaps can be adjusted on Hobbits? I left them where they were at 0.3mm though

I recently finished putting my Hobbit back together after doing a bunch of upgrades (see list at end). It fires up but I'm experiencing really low power - like at half throttle the bike barely wants to move. I have a couple suspicions, but both are questionable so I could use some input. My first suspicion is low compression. With my tester I'm only reading 75 psi - which I'm surpris

Was hoping to get a peoples sidebleed because my understanding is it's better for top end where the circuit helps more with low/mids, which I think this QT does pretty good on already. On the other hand the sidebleed is pricier so I'll mull that offer over - thanks Jimmy

Looking for a performance pipe for a qtTreatland is out of stockMaybe there's one floating around out there?
Jessie Paull — 1 year ago
Sort of?! Steve brought the QT50 you sold him to my place bc he needed the space in his garage. As far as I'm concerned it's still his bike, but that doesn't mean I won't reap the benefits of having a QT50 in the fleet when he's not using it ;)

Seems like a good place to start - thanks!

Anyone know about what size main jet is in a clone QT50 carb? I want to get a range of jets but I have no clue what size to start at

I saw a mint Puch Maxi for $200-ish the other day near Niagara Falls. I was ready to drive 4+ to get it on the spot, but by the time I messaged the guy someone was there picking it up only 2 hours after being posted. My (relatively new to mopeds) experience is that anything desirable (like a Puch) listed in the sub $400 range gets snatched up lightning fast. Most of what I see is outrageously price

So I recently picked up a new stuffy race crank, DR Kit, and super street DERBHOBBIT head for a rebuild of my HobbitThis is my first rebuild, so I've been doing a lot of sleuthing through the forums in preparation and found some posts suggesting to "upgrade" to M7 studs. This seems reasonable, seeing as I have snapped a total of 2 OEM bolts in my case that had to get drilled out, so

Got some advice from Jbot on my first (errant) thread in Buy/SellThe threads of the crankshaft were pretty stripped. I ended up getting the nut off with an impact driver while having someone pull HARD on the clutch bell
Jessie Paull — 1 year ago
JBot is my new hero! Finally got the damn thing off by pulling REALLY hard while using the impact driver. The threads on the crankshaft are stripped so I probably will just toss it - unless someone can save it and wants it for free?

Are you talking about the big outer nut on the variator? I'm talking about the little nut on the crank shaft (sorry don't think that was clear my in my post)

Reposting here because I'm a dummy and accidently posted to Buy/Sell originally..First time rebuilding a moped here - trying to disassemble my Hobbit to install a Dr kit and stuffy crankI'm trying to remove the little nut in the variator so I can slide the whole thing off, while holding the flywheel with a strap wrench on the other side, and the nut just spins and spins. At points it fee
