I have a 2007 tomos arrow. I think my shocks are leaking are they rebuildable? Or is it just better to buy new ones?
Yes this one is not kitted just wantted to try and learn something. The exhaust is relatively new technigas. I haven't heard many people messing with after market exhaust pipes. But I could take it apart and see if it needs a cleaning. I'm running a 17.5 PHVA carb with a 18mm intake which is why I ported it because others were saying if you don't port it the new larger carb and inta
PatI had read and asked some questions. I have an extra head so I wanted to try it. It actually works amazingly better for now at least. I was just trying to get s few more mph out of it. As the speed limit by me is 45 so going only stock 30 isn't ideal
Ok cool thanks. I didn't port the exhaust it looks about the same size.
That looks tougher than what mine was. It took forever. I'll have to find some of those. Do you smooth it out and polish it? I sanded it a bit not def not polish finish
So I just bored/ported/honed (what ever it's called) out the intake on my stock tomos St 2009 to roughly match the 18mm intake matched by 17.5 mm PHVA carb. I know it's not the best or prettiest but she started well when I put her back together. Wlit was raining so didn't test drive it. But does doing the throw of the timing or anything? As for my exhaust mount thanks. I am leading
Right on thanks guys. I'll def try dremeling it out at some point.
I think I'm jetted ok. 74 main 50 coke 34 pilot. Would I gain more mph of I ported the intake hole a bit?
You mean getting a larger piston kit? Like an airsal 70cc or something?
Hi guys so I just installed new/used dellorto phva 17.5. Carburetor and new MLM vm18 intake in my 2009 Tomos ST. As I was bolting everything on it occured to me the intake hole in the top of the engine is smaller than the intake itself. Is that an issue? Do people normally bore out that intake hole? If so how?
Yes it appears VT is the way to go thanks haha
Has anyone gone through the process of getting a title for a Tomos in NewJersey or another state? I'm looking to buy a 1995 from a guy that doesn't have the title.I have heard it's a pain but this form doesnt look to bad. Is the placard/label on the fork all you need? I looked at mine I have a 2001 sprint and it says this motor vehicle complies with all regulations but doesn't
HiI have a 2001 tomos Sprint that I've upgraded the intake and exhaust. I replaced the headlight bulbs before I did the other upgrades and just recently the lights blew. I asked on a Facebook forum page about it they said to get a regulator or LED light. Someone told me.about the trail tech dial brightness voltage regulator. Will this work for my Tomos ? How do i wire it? Or does anyone have
Is it worth upgrading to after market filter or stick with stock? My stock air box on my Tomos Sprint 2002 is rather warped so was thinking or replacing it or upgrading. Do upgrade after market make too much noise? I'm running a biturbo exhaust right now but was thinking of switching to the Tecno Estoril Performance Exhaust. I hear it has good performance and not as noisy
I have the stock air box is a little warped so I was going to get a new one I just got l got a new rubber boot that connects the air box to the carb. I am running a 50/1 premix, no smoke, like it did before the seal was replaced. The clutch pads were a pain to get on the clutch wheel and 2 didn't sit 100 perfect but it slide in fine into the housing. But I was thinking it could be the problem
Thanks for that. I'll have to check my air in take it's just the stock air box. It's a bit warped so was thinking of getting a new one anyway. What's an oil banjo? Mine isn't oil injected I run a premix 50/1
I haven't upgraded the carb. Last I looked it was still super clean from the cleaning I did when I bought the bike couple months back. I have NGK BR6HS plug in. I don't quite follow everything you were saying about the plugs? Can you explain it a little more sorry for my newbieness.
Wolf head synthetic automatic transmission fluid
So I finally got around to changing the crank seal and put new first gear clutch in. But now my 2002 Tomos Sprint likes to stall out at times. Shell run fine while driving but at stops or just before start up after a stop she dies. Anyone have any ideas? I turned up the idol which helped but didn't fix. Could the new clutch pads need break in time or something? Or is that just a stupid though
Sorry I tried attaching photos and videos 5 times didn't seem to workIt's a 2001 Tomos Sprint.
So I was trying to change my crank seal and noticed the gears are a bit lose. There was what appears to be a broken clip or ring of some sort inside the clutch case. Des anyone know where it goes and what part number it is? Also how to remove the other clutch wheel because the one on the outside has no cork left.
Hi guysSo i was trying to change the bulb in my speedometer and I actually disconnected the cable as well. I just tried reconnecting it but the gauge is all wacky. How do I adjust it?
I know this is an old thread but what is plug chops?
I think the only after market thing is my exhaust. Biturbo what's Sha? I did put a new plug in when I got her.
Yes stock filter. I'll look into reassemble the gauge cluster unless your have any tips
I just replaced the basic non existent one with stock one. She rides pretty well just struggles until warm
I have a biturbo muffler it came with the bike I imagine the previous owner jetted it. I have stock air filter though. I'll up some oil ratio thanks.Any ideas why it would stall and putter after start up?
I have a new air filter. Why should I change the jet? I just cleaned it
Hi everyoneLooking for some advice about my 2001 Tomos Sprint. When I start her up she stalls out even with choke on unless I give her gas and feather it a bit 30 seconds or so but then she's normally fine to ride. Any thoughts ideas? I just got her about a 2 months ago and I cleaned the carb and put a new air filter on. I'm running high test and a 50/1 ratio.Other part is my lights went
