I’ll add more pictures later on but this 4prong r/r has a yellow wire , a green, a red and last but not least a pink wire , I’m assuming 2ac and 1 ground and one dc output being the pink wire model of r/r is S4B-01 Honda , I haven’t hooked up the battery yet

the battery was one that I found and I know it may be over kill but how would I connect it to the rectifier , all cables are connected except one and im assuming its the DC output , im waiting for a multimeter as well . would a 7.5a fuse work well with the 5ah battery? I did notice on a revival diagram that it has a 4ah battery but uses a 8a fuse

So I started tinkering with a battery and I noticed that the previous owner of my bike had installed a Honda r/r , and my brain said “whoa I can use a battery!” Now as for the battery would anyone know if I would have to implement a 8ah fuse ? I tested out the battery on my turn signals, horn and it all works except the turn signals, it flashes twice and then dies. The horn on the other hand gets

what the guy above said but ill chime in since I've worked on gy6 engines. take apart the carb and clean the jets it may just be clogged , I doubt the petcock is clogged unless you left it sitting with gas for a whole summer , that being said try to manually choke it swell , place your hand over the air filter port and try starting it at the same time , you might need a second hand. also try

So I just installed the 2 prong electronic flasher and still does not work , not sure what’s going on here . Everything is wired properly as well , anyone have any clues ? Only reason I need turn signals is to get the cops off my back and to let people know where I’m going at night

Has anyone used a flasher unit other than the 552’s ?? If you have on a LX please let me know, I have yet to get the flasher to work , now I’m just using the signals as is (constant power) with no flashing. I pretty much connected the yellow cable to the switch (red) and that powers my turn signals but not flash because somehow the flasher isn’t working

So yea your right and I had those connected properly but what I noticed was that there’s a hidden volume or plate adjuster on this horn lol it was hidden by a small black cap and silicone was used to cover the adjuster .. no idea why it was like that but I adjust the plate and it sounds nice but not loud enough so I made a direct connection between the magneto to the horn directly and also connect

lmfao yes and those two wires are giving me trouble no matter what combination I use lol . would it be wise to bridge the magneto's yellow cable directly to the horns capacitor and bypass the regulator ?

the one im using is a 552 old style 2 prong unit , its the model this bike uses. from what im seeing online is that the flashers aren't connected to regulators. but since this bike doesn't have a battery im not sure. so I know for a fact that the flasher unit isn't receiving power or not enough power.

wow so look at this , I found what looks like the previous owner was trying to jump the right turn signal (which was why it was always on) and once I removed that piece of wire I tried jumping the red cable which leads to the switch and now my turn signals respond to the switch but they still won't blink even at high rpms. the first picture is what I found when I unplugged the rear harness.

My idol is up around 2,000rpms enough where the back wheel won’t spin or if it does it’s very slight , as for the ceramic resistor I don’t think there was one there but I’ll double check , I’ll check my grounding cables again and clean all the contacts to see if that helps aswell

i might have to check which cable line is for the high beams , i know for a fact that the cable thats supplying the power to the bulb is yellow , and in this case its connected directly to the stator but also connected to the regulator. looks like i have the wrong cable connected to the headlight , and the headlight also came with its own ground cable aswell ill use that and see if that helps as w

Yeap the headlight bulb was replaced with the correct one on treatland, at high rpms the bulb brightens up but doesn’t get bright where I can see so I end up using a battery powered headlight for the time being , would be great to get the headlight to brighten up
