I’ll add more pictures later on but this 4prong r/r has a yellow wire , a green, a red and last but not least a pink wire , I’m assuming 2ac and 1 ground and one dc output being the pink wire model of r/r is S4B-01 Honda , I haven’t hooked up the battery yet
the battery was one that I found and I know it may be over kill but how would I connect it to the rectifier , all cables are connected except one and im assuming its the DC output , im waiting for a multimeter as well . would a 7.5a fuse work well with the 5ah battery? I did notice on a revival diagram that it has a 4ah battery but uses a 8a fuse
So I started tinkering with a battery and I noticed that the previous owner of my bike had installed a Honda r/r , and my brain said “whoa I can use a battery!” Now as for the battery would anyone know if I would have to implement a 8ah fuse ? I tested out the battery on my turn signals, horn and it all works except the turn signals, it flashes twice and then dies. The horn on the other hand gets
what the guy above said but ill chime in since I've worked on gy6 engines. take apart the carb and clean the jets it may just be clogged , I doubt the petcock is clogged unless you left it sitting with gas for a whole summer , that being said try to manually choke it swell , place your hand over the air filter port and try starting it at the same time , you might need a second hand. also try
Hahaha I just laughed so hard. Got to scare off the cars somehow right ? As if the bullet pipe isn’t loud enough xD
Yea seems like there’s something wrong with the wiring , know a good multi meter ? A non expensive one?
So I just installed the 2 prong electronic flasher and still does not work , not sure what’s going on here . Everything is wired properly as well , anyone have any clues ? Only reason I need turn signals is to get the cops off my back and to let people know where I’m going at night
That wouldn’t cause any issues with the stock 12v bulbs ?
I’m not using LED just the regular bulbs that came with it , even replaced them aswell and nada
Has anyone used a flasher unit other than the 552’s ?? If you have on a LX please let me know, I have yet to get the flasher to work , now I’m just using the signals as is (constant power) with no flashing. I pretty much connected the yellow cable to the switch (red) and that powers my turn signals but not flash because somehow the flasher isn’t working
So yea your right and I had those connected properly but what I noticed was that there’s a hidden volume or plate adjuster on this horn lol it was hidden by a small black cap and silicone was used to cover the adjuster .. no idea why it was like that but I adjust the plate and it sounds nice but not loud enough so I made a direct connection between the magneto to the horn directly and also connect
lmfao yes and those two wires are giving me trouble no matter what combination I use lol . would it be wise to bridge the magneto's yellow cable directly to the horns capacitor and bypass the regulator ?
the one im using is a 552 old style 2 prong unit , its the model this bike uses. from what im seeing online is that the flashers aren't connected to regulators. but since this bike doesn't have a battery im not sure. so I know for a fact that the flasher unit isn't receiving power or not enough power.
wow so look at this , I found what looks like the previous owner was trying to jump the right turn signal (which was why it was always on) and once I removed that piece of wire I tried jumping the red cable which leads to the switch and now my turn signals respond to the switch but they still won't blink even at high rpms. the first picture is what I found when I unplugged the rear harness.
Oh btw this would happen. Even if the switch is on neutral, and I’ll try to raise idle to see what happens too and no worries I appreciate the help so much :)
My idol is up around 2,000rpms enough where the back wheel won’t spin or if it does it’s very slight , as for the ceramic resistor I don’t think there was one there but I’ll double check , I’ll check my grounding cables again and clean all the contacts to see if that helps aswell
as for me yes , OP would have to answer as well
like I know what it does, its how its supposed to be wired is my question.
dude I've been trying to figure this out too lolcurrently trying to figure it out but no luck
please do explain :D lol I found some videos on youtube but its not applying anything to how to wire it properly to a moped , mostly just car and sports bikes
FOR THOSE WHO NEED A LINK TO THE PART :Dhttps://www.treatland.tv/tomos-OEM-12v-next-level-complicated-sirena-horn-p/tomos-oem-horn-237179.htm
yes I've checked all the bulbs and even replaced them with new ones
lol so this horn is infact hard to wire , I can't seems to figure it out lol has anyone been able to hook this horn up to their bike ? other than a 2018 tomos. here is a picture of my wiring and my diagram , as for the 2018 horn it looks like it requires a ground and I have grounded and still no horn , all I get is a vibration or if I press on the plate of the horn it makes a sound.PS: the re
hey guys good afternoon , I was wondering if anyone here had or is having the same issue im having . im currently stumped by my turn signals . I tried everything and still can't seem to get them to blink , it seems like the right turn signal is constantly on and the left won't even come on. I replaced the previous 552 flasher unit with a novita 552 and still having the same issue , whats
> P D Wrote:> -------------------------------------------------------> Brighter ? Halogen . LED for the brightest .thats what im actually looking at right now and how to properly set it up , not rushing though since i have my lights properly working now , i would like to get some laptop batterys and use that to power my LED's but i need a led relay aswell properly get a novita
i would like to say that i have fixed my issue lol headlights are bright but still want it brighter so might use a 1157 bulb and see if that works . i completely derped on the electrical side of mopeds and forgotten the most simplest things . thanks for everyones help !
LOL so i think i completely derped on my headlights .... turns out i had my ground hooked up to the second filament and my high beam to the ground .... LMAO ill be testing this out later on to see if that was my problem which in this case it might just be
ok so today i managed to get my rear lights to work and boy are they bright ! at medium to high rpm , and i managed to hook up a trail tech vapor without any issues , now as for the headlight i traced every connection and seems like im still getting dim lighting. i previously had the yellow cable (magneto to regulator to light) to the dim light on the headlight which was so wrong lol , based on th
i might have to check which cable line is for the high beams , i know for a fact that the cable thats supplying the power to the bulb is yellow , and in this case its connected directly to the stator but also connected to the regulator. looks like i have the wrong cable connected to the headlight , and the headlight also came with its own ground cable aswell ill use that and see if that helps as w
Yeap the headlight bulb was replaced with the correct one on treatland, at high rpms the bulb brightens up but doesn’t get bright where I can see so I end up using a battery powered headlight for the time being , would be great to get the headlight to brighten up
