Looks like a pretty cool setup but I have to ask. Did you just spend half a day and $30 worth of propane to create $30 worth of "lead muffins"?

You can never assume that a new condenser is good essentially it's like a coin toss these days. Also recheck your points gap It has to be pretty dead on or you'll get weak spark.

You got it Brian. The combination of the heavy duty michelins and a heavy duty tube the bead was not sliding past the flange of the valve stem inside the tube. Kept getting hung up on it. Had to use extra lube, you know, solves a lot of life's problems right? And go up to 80 psi to get it to slide past.

Anyway she's back rolling smooth, still needs a couple spots dealt with. Need to get some black brake handles and clean up the wiring a bit.

Yeah, basically but there was a very specific reason why.

I figured out the problem but I think I'm gonna have a little fun and do a "what's wrong with this picture" sort of thread here and see who can pick up on it and maybe even guess as to what the problem was.

Been riding my "Murder Moby" a lot more lately and notice that front end felt a little bouncy. Thought it was just the Moby shocks (original stock) and I ride on some shitty ass roads but then realized it was pretty consistent. Thought maybe my rim was out of true and then I discovered this....

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, my advice to you would be to find a bus with a perfect cargo door track and cut it out and use that instead of buying the replacement track! Way way too much tweaking involved to get the replacement to work. I know good luck finding another one that is busted up enough to warrant chopping up but has a perfect track blah blah but they are out there.

The cargo door track was an absolute biotch! I don't think I would ever do another one that needs it. Because mine needed the whole track, small section of cargo floor edge, inner rocker, full outriggers, front and rear wheel houses...there were about 50 different angles and planes that I had to keep making sure would all line up which of course involved somehow mocking up every panel and pat

I feel like I remember hearing them constantly for many years and then for a long time now I haven't really heard them. This year is supposed to be a big one but a little early yet. They are more in July I think usually

SKF not what they once were in my experience. I will be curious to see how they hold up. I would go KOYO myself.

Very possibly not. I can virtually guarantee that is what is going on. stick a heavy wire or something flexible down to the bottom of the tank and it will probably come out with a nice glob of goo on the end

lol I like the cat memes. And I'm a dune fan too so right on. and only tube amps for me, funny how we seem to be so alike but so different at the same time. I guess I am the only one who has had the misfortune of having a chinesium cdi crap out on me in the entire mopeding world. Got a good source for those a3202s by the way?

but seriously you probably have a nice big chunk of fossilized gas stuck in there and the fresh gas is just slowly dissolving it.

And yeah CDI is 1000x better than points until the box dies randomly from heat stroke on a 95 degrees august day in the middle of nowhere but to each their own.

Just did an actual count mainly because I am having one of those days where I can't decide which one of my 20 different projects I should tackle next, and I am not referring to any of my own unfortunately. Rough time of year so rather than doing something productive I thought why not give myself a reality check to maybe get me off my ass to get something done after I realize how deep this mad

A couple of my "several" Moby's have responded with massive performance gain to new condensers. You have to get the points clean and gapped or replaced and the condenser is the other part of the equation. really unless you just want to cheese out and go cdi you must understand points ignition to get the most out of these bad boys.
