Looking for a champ gas tank in good condition.
Hey guys I’ve recently purchased one of these bikes. I’m having a few issues with it. The number one problem I have is the petcock. There is a little hole on the side of the frame for it to stick out when connected to the gas tank. The brand new petcock I have won’t fit through the hole because the selector switch is to long. Any help would go a long way.
The ignition wire is shorter.
You guys were right all along. It was exactly where you said it would be under the seat. I was confused because as stated above the new one doesn’t have the condenser and old one under the seat had the condenser. I was blinded my rage to see that it was there all along. Yes I checked under the seat. The coil isn’t coming out of the frame in the direction of the seat. It’s coming down the frame in the direction of the handle bars. That’s why I’m confused how to access it.
This part goes into the frame of the Express not under the seat.

I’m not talking about the key ignition. I’m referring to the spark coil that connects to the spark plug. It goes up into the frame of the moped and I’m not sure how to get to it to replace it.

Recently I installed a 6x10 spun aluminum gas tank on my 1981 Honda Express. I’m currently running premix in it. My top speeds reach 25mph on flat roads and I can go up to 35mph if the hill is steep enough. Anyone got recommendations on how to increase my top speed?
I have recently replaced my 1981 Express gas tank with a spun aluminum gas tank due to my original gas tank being rusted out. I am currently trying to run 50:1 premix in it and it won’t start. It has good compression and is getting fuel. I’m not sure what to do any tips would be appreciated
