I grew up in Medina (still live there) and am 48. Mopeds were super cool when I was a teenager because it had a motor and you could ride it at 14. I got back into it about a year and a half ago with my son and we now have 3 Tomos and 1 Puch. Back in the 80's, there was no internet or Treats to buy kits from so there wasn't that much you could do to make them fast, or if there was I didn&
Looking for the lower side cover (says Tomos) on it. See attached pic. Thanks!
It was ignition, but I didn’t troubleshoot but rather swapped the points for a Treats CDI kit. Crazy rips now!
I just installed the a55 CDI from Treats in my a3. Can you be more specific as to what wires you ran where to get the brake light working again? Thanks for your help.
I have a 1984 Silver Bullet that I’m having an issue with. I recently installed a 70cc Airsal kit with high-compression head and a 15mm Dellorto. It ran great for a day or so then started sputtering under acceleration. It’s like it cuts out then back on. I was running a 75 jet then went to a 73 and it’s the same. Bought the genuine Dellorto carb from them at the same time. The carb also included the correct bushing for the carb. Spark plug is almost new and sparks well when I ground it to the engine. Notice if I remove
Picked up a pretty nice 1984 Silver Bullet. It has turn signals and a box under the seat that the wires connect to. The signals are not working so I took the cover off and there's a small circuit board and perhaps batteries (?) in there. Any advice on where to start troubleshooting?
I bought a CDI kit from 1977 Mopeds and don't know which wires from the CDI go to the stock wiring. I've attached pics of the kit I bought and my stock points stator. Can anyone help? Thanks!!
Hey all. I have a 1996 Targa LX top tank bike I'm thinking of selling. My 11-year old son and I picked this up barely running and have had a great time wrenching on it. Missing some of the appearance pieces like the side panels and lower side covers but we kind of like the way it looks without the panels. Originally we thought about tearing it apart and repainting it but the look has grown on
