NVM I'm a dumbass I figured it out
The bolt hole is not the same size for the Travelers as it is for the Mobylettes. It's a bit smaller and won't allow the bolt through. Any suggestions?
Lucky 2 Strokes had them at one point but are sold out.Anyone have a set? Thanks!
Does anyone know the mm size for the pinch bolt on a motobecane. I think it's probably 6 or 7. Might not matter that much but I'd prefer to get it right. Thanks!
All of the ones on treats seem to have such bad reviews.... Anyone have any suggestions? Or suggestions on buying one of those and making it work well? Thanks!
That's great! Let me know!
I haven't been able to find any in decent shape on the internet....
I can find one that would work but I'd prefer the originals. Thanks!
What pipe would you recommend? I'm kind of a stickler for aesthetics and I hate the way a lot of the aftermarket pipes look.
Hi! I'm looking to upjet my kitted mobylette. I have a 74cc airsal and it dellorto SHA 15.15 and a stock pipe. The dellorto came with a 68 but I think that might be too small. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!
I found a thread on here with someone recommending a pair on Amazon made for kids dirt bikes. I'm going to grab a pair and post an update. Thanks for the suggestions.
Does anyone know of any decent grips for a moby that actually fit without any overhang. The stock ones are 4" long. Thanks!
I believe so. I picked up a 1976 Mobylette that had a broken variator. The guy took that variator off and bought a new one and had it in the box. Everything seems like it fits. I'm probably being overly cautious but I know it can take a special tool to get that part of the variator off once it's on there.
No sorry I'm talking about this piece.
Might be a dumb question but I couldn't really find any info on it. Is there a certain way to place the variator cover onto the variator? I'm sticking it on but I don't think it's flush enough and the nut won't grab. Thanks in advance!
YAY! Just ordered. You guys are the best. I got some peugeot 103 decals from you guys a while back.
This set specifically. I know others will fit on the side panels and I'll go that route if I have to but I'd like to be able to find the originals. Thanks!
One issue I'm having is that the exhaust keeps melting my shoe....
What carb would you recommend?
Thanks. The more you learn the less you know and all that.
I bought cheap polishing heads on Amazon for my drill and they worked pretty well.
Thanks yeah I've found I'm not a huge fan of changing much. I thought I was going to get decals made but I like it as is.
The front fender came off of the parts bike and was in really good shape. Used the aluminum foil trick and waxed it. The back fender confused me a bit. It seemed like bare aluminum but every thing I saw on these bikes suggested it was chromed. So maybe it was chromed aluminum that was completely flaked off. Anyway I used 1000 grit sandpaper and then buffing compound to get it close to looking like
Replaced the top end and clutch and exhaust and carb off a parts bike I scored for super cheap. Lots of other little replacement parts. Painted with duplicolor engine enamel. It runs pretty well. 30mph version that probably maxes out around there on flat ground and is a bit slow in the low end. Idles perfectly. To give an idea of cost to hopefully motivate others in their restoration efforts.... bou
I guess it could be but there are no ridges for it. To me the outlet looks sort of like it was made for this.... http://www.lucky2strokes.com/product-p/honda_express_headlight_bulb.htmEither was it won't break the bank. Thanks for the response.
It has a curious socket.... There's an indentation for a single bayonet not two like all the bulbs I've seen. Thanks!
Hey don't want to bother you but I was wondering if you ever found that decal? Thanks.
