I was hoping to contact you as I was headed to ft Campbell this week...alas hurricane Dorian grounded the government crew out of Orlando so the install has been postponed. Hopefully I get out that way soon.

Yes I was very pleased to see someone not trying to get rich off a moped. I just happened to be heading to FT McCoy for a week and have a friend who lives about 15min from the guy who had so it all worked out smooth. Now I just need to find some time to mess with it.

He listed it on Reddit... Belonged to his FIL. His BIL tried to get it running but never finished. It is mostly there minus plastic, cables, and throttle housing. I haven't done anything besides unload it. I'm in the middle of a bathroom reno and if I don't finish before my next work trip, I might not be married when I get back.

'78 Hobbit. Needs work but the price was right...free...they didn't want it to go to a flipper/butcher.

I bought a $5 bridge wave rectifier off amazon and used an led bucket I had bought for my tractor but never used. i think I paid like $20 for two of em. It is crazy bright, but is a flood so doesn't throw very far. Eventually I am going to remember to buy an Led spot to throw in it's place.NTE Electronics NTE53016 Silicon...https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Z7LXVQ/

I would buy it for sure if it was near by. I like the looks of that frame.

I have been using it to make snack runs, but figured it was time to ride it home before snowmobile weather hits us.

If I was closer I would be all over this. Hope someone gets it that will leave it stock.

Does a video count? Also do I get to claim old guy status at 42? My Tomos was being really finicky on the way back from lunch so I had to tow it a bit with my Hobbit.

Forgot to start the app until I left my first stop. Actually went closer to 8 miles. Makes the work day a bit more enjoyable.

https://www.facebook.com/MopedTravelers/My brother in law saw these guys in Saline the other day. It's only a few miles away from my work, at first he thought it was our group as it was around lunchtime and we usually ride to lunch.

I really feel for you guys who live in major metropolitan areas. I bought an identical 94 last summer(minus the engine shroud) as part of a package deal with another minty 96 TT Tomos and a nice clean 78 Puch. $1000 for all three and they were all runners zero work needed.

What are you asking for the Eagle II ?
Gerrit Scholten — 4 years ago
Fortunately that is way more than they cost by me.

I bought two top tank Targas in Toledo last year a '94 and a '96. One had 100% of the covers the other had diamond plate bottom side covers $330 each.

Motorcycle money for a moped is never a good idea.

How much are you asking?

Where in Maryland are you located? I may have someone who could pick it up for me.
Gerrit Scholten — 5 years ago
I think it's hideous. If I bought a brand new moped it would be a Tomos, just not this one.

If an Indian was mint, and I could get it for a $100 I would absolutely do it. Then I would sit on it till I found a sweet deal on a Tomos engine and Swap city.

I am at the airport headed to Orlando for I/ITSEC. I have some room with our equipment to ship back a moped so looking for a deal. Last month when I went to Philly, I scored a$100 Tomos. Hoping for repeat success.
