I put the head from a za50 magnum on a maxi za50 The crank was bent on the magnum. So I bought another za from ebay with smaller cylinder making the muffler connection not to fit. But when i went to set the timing The piston seams really far to the top of the cylinder.
i tried the Oring thing 5 times even used a mini speed clamp to hold it tight while i clamped NO LUCK ( i have gotten other mopeds going but im bout to give up on this one.) what bout the head gasket its a puch newport . LOL
yes carb cleaner, i will check head gasket, With it missing would it cause the leak? the bike will run on choke. I forgot i did replace the muffler. i can send pics.
not leaking at base, base is not warped o-ring fresh, sqeezed on with a mini clamp tightened.I broke 1 clamp. then i tried 2 new carbs no luck. still leaking. no clamp is not broken.
replaced crank seals put it back together and now it leaks where the carb connects to manifold also tried new manifold . Tried the rubber washer. aluminum can even broke the clamp on a bing carb, still leaks. WHY does anyone have any help for me thanks ....

well that's what I thought. So I put a float in that I had. It didn't fix it. so buying another carb to try. But wouldn't the carb leak if the float was improperly operating.
2.0 hp za50 if I clean the plug it will start right up backfires with half throttle. changed the main jet to every number possible. anyone have a clue why the plug gets to wet and backfiring. I did not replace the crank seals. could that cause it? I can set the timing anywhere and get the same thing.
thanks it was a bad leak fixed it seal washers...............
qt50 was running great took the oil injector off plugged the hole no leaks. Now the thing will just idle perfectly. will not go. When I give it gas it just bogs down. any help
I thought it was the cdi replaced and still no spark. so no I have a charge coil on the way. maybe that's the issue. not sure
got the pw charge coil flipped it and it works good thanks jack
I can't get any spark> If the rectifier is faulty will it cause no spark? Or any idea why It will not spark.
ok maybe the wires are there. Any idea which wire goes to the positive side of the battery connect to?

I don't have headlight or tail light. I was wondering if it will blow the charge coil. I think I read somewhere that the battery protects the coil. It did start up and run fine for 10 minutes. when I first tried.
Does anyone know the direction of the crank seal placement?. Does the flat side set against the crank bearing? (the engine has been apart for awhile so I forgot)

ok thanks jack I ordered the pw stator. so do I just flip it for the qt and solder
not INTERMITTENT now the spark is just very low. I tried a new coil same thing. but can't find a new spark plug the correct size
why buy 3 I cant seam to even find 1 original. checked all stores aroundbm4a
QT50 started right up drove around the block and it died tried to start it and it will not. The spark seams low and sometimes not at all. Any Ideas. I cleaned wire connections. If I spray brake cleaner on the spark plug it has a good spark. weird . any HELP would be cool
you can have it wes66 I just bought 3 today. I should be busy 4 a minute. puch Newport white qt50 and a za50 for 275. the dude pretty much didn't want them. the general is very nice.
