Just get the performance exhaust. It doesn't matter what you have coming into the engine if the spew is still blowing out the same slow way. You might modify the stock exhaust, though.
Maybe Chris needs to hone the cylinder then. There are other threads in the forum on how to do that.
The name you're looking for is Kreidler, and yes, I've heard they're fast as hell.
It is rather sad to jack up the price on the same forum as people who know you paid quite abit less. But ah well. I hope it went to someone who takes good care of it and doesn't sell it for quick cash. However, if someone did take a $25 sale and turned it into a $600 sale, I'd really like to know about that before I spent that kind of money, thanks Ryan.
I think the general Japanese mindset behind a scooter or moped is to make it as tiny as possible. This was especially true with the old Honda and Suzuki bikes of the 70s and 80s. They were in many cases smaller than your average child's bike in the USA.The Euro idea seemed to be to make it look more like a motorcycle. If you notice, alot of euro bikes had oversized fuel tanks, and a large
I didn't think you could buy a light without it saying somewhere in the description what the candlepower is.I'm not sure if there are light requirements for mopeds. I just know that they all come with headlights atleast if you get them now, and many come with turn signals and brake lights also. If specific requirements exist, you should be able to ask the DMV for your state, or look th
Maybe they were worried if they didn't comply he'd crash through the bank on his powerful scooter.
About the compartment, I was just wondering if you considered altering it to fit a small bit of cargo. I figure if it can hold extra oil it can hold other items.I think I'll leave the luggage rack on mine. I've actually always left the rack on all the peds I've owned. Of course, I've always ended up carrying something, so it could just be circumstances. I'm one to expe
I'd just like to say that this bike is really making me reconsider my choice of next project. I could probably get an ST used and trick it out similar to this. I really like the lines.Max, since the ped doesn't have the rear luggage rack, what if you have to carry something? I know you said you use the under-seat compartment to carry extra mixing oil, but I'm just curious about t
Wow...very nice transformation! With the seat and all, I was going to say Suzuki or Honda. But I was also saying no due to the dual rear shocks. This is a very sweet setup.
What model is this? It looks somewhat familiar.
Not to mention under the right set of circumstances your friend could end up in prison for assault with a deadly weapon, or murder. Some areas require a threat of bodily harm to sanction such a defense as he would have to use. Theft isn't good enough in all circumstances. It's not the same in the books as kidnapping if it's a pet, generally it's still considered theft.
What happened the other day with the detectives? Are you still looking for your dog?
I haven't gotten a look inside yet. The engine just started losing RPM gradually, then finally cut out completely.I'll let you know. But as I've mentioned, this bike is pretty much on it's last legs.
My Tomos ST crapped out on me about a mile from home today. I can probably get it running for the time being, but I'll be needed a new ride.As is, I'll be relying on my Motobecane (mountain bike, not moped) alot. It's not very stylish, but hey it works. Still on the lookout for a fix-er-upper. I'd love a Puch, but ah well. I'll figure something out. It's got ped
When considering something with no practical market value, as in this case, you're going to be looking to attract enthusiasts who are specifically fond of this type of transport, or of the manufacturer itself. Find out if there's a moped club in your area, or ask around antique shops and flea markets. You probably won't get very much if your intention is to restore the moped and res
That's nice, but which model Batavus is it? *drool*
LOL! All those moped screaming through town is just enough to get them to start enforcing rules. Thanks alot!
Or you could use a topcase, or saddlebag. You don't need to haul it all on your back.
What model Batavus is this?I've only seen the "intercycle" framed bikes. This one looks very nice.
I know.I suggested you paint them sissy pink. Maybe someone thought a post about what color to paint your moped rims was off-topic.Or it could just be a server glitch.Seriously, I am not sure what rims would go with green. Except white seems to go with pretty much everything.
I agree with self-moderation.Unless of course someone's trying to hack the server, or flood the site with posts and fill up all the bandwidth that could go elsewhere. With the "kids" that sometimes post, it's a hassle, but I think it's never frequent enough (atleast not that I'm aware) that anything serious needs to be done.If a mod just looked at posts once in awhil
She's still a kid in mentality. She hasn't thought yet of sooner or later moving out and doing things without her dad to help. She might also be one of those "clean" people who don't want to get their fingers oily, or just not interested in mechanical devices of any kind. Don't assume she'll grow into your state of mind, or grow out of hers'. It might be a
Where I live is mostly county land, so the rules as to where I can ride my moped are rather lax. No bike lanes that I've ever seen. I've seen afew scooters and mopeds on the walkway with no second looks from cops. Even so, I try to ride responsible whenever possible, especially when no one's looking.Any of you out there have a sort of savage frontier, where rules are either not e
At this point the guy probably is more concerned with getting his pet back, than the moral integrity of whoever might want alittle incentive to do the effort.I'd do it for free, and I know people who would do the same. But I also know a shitload of greedy bums. If there is more greed than honesty, appealing to greed will logically get more exposure.Yes, it'd be wonderful if the general
The quickest way is to offer a reward. Sure, you'll get alot of morons with the wrong dog, but cash incentives work better than pleas for help sometimes. If you do offer a reward, it can be more effective to not say what the reward is. That might limit the crazy ones from paying attention. There are a great many people who would be happy with $100.
I'd go with the cleaning the points. If you can't figure it out, it's probably more science than mechanics.
I have a "swisschamp" Swiss Army Knife, and a Gerber Multi-plier.Between the 2 of them, they can handle quite abit of routine stuff.Something "unusual" I do like to carry is a flexible head flashlight, and acouple of those angled dental mirrors. Can be useful for getting a peek at things without having to tear an entire part down to get inside.Beyond that, and the items alread
Any updates? You said the neighbor hinted she was supposed to be home by 3pm today. What's going on?
Or you could just stop trying to make her have your hobbies. She'll come around if she wants to. You can't push her into it. The best way to put her at ease, is to forget about trying to push. If you have it in your mind that she's going to like something, you'll put off these vibes that will make her nervous. Relax, and she will too.
