The only thing I have in that red marked hole is a seal. Am I missing something?
My bike only had one circlip on the pedal shaft, I missed it the first few times. Who knew that groove held 2 circlips? Never did find that elusive spring they show in the parts schematic. I'm thinking that may be for kick start variants ( not the kick return spring) I'm thinking when it spit one of the clips with previous owner/s it chewed the ramp gears on the side of the main and pe
Tore into it again today, main gear teeth and sprocket that sits on the peddle shaft teeth are fackedI'm talking the wee teeth that sit on the back of main gear. Didn't really plan on splitting the cases but yeah....... If Airsal kits ever come back in stock I'll take the opportunity to match the transfers while case is split.

I think I put one of the shims on the outside ( 3 total) I found one loose laying on the rack. I believe this one goes on the other side of the ratchet block. I'll be replacing the ratchet block this round as well. I did notice the teeth on the main gear that the ratchet block meets had some teeth that looked worn down,
Well fack!! was working for a while, now I've pedal action but just freewheels when I try to kick start it. Any Ideas?
Fixed. I ordered the sprag spring and peanut doo hickey from treats. but decided to tear into it today, The sprag spring and peanut piece were there but I'm not certain the peanut looking piece was sitting in it's provission correctly. The ramp face on the main output gear in the case center looked a wee bit worn but she is sorted and I'll keep the yet to arrive treats order for spa
Can you post a pic of said clip ?
Thanks for bumping this thread, I'm having the same issue with a new to me Tomos A55
Thank you for the reply. The rear wheel spins like a good un when the engine is running and throttled up. I just picked the moped up yesterday and the former owner said the peddling never worked since they had it. He ( former owner ) has not been into the transmission. When trying to use peddle power only it sounds like a freewheel and drive chain does not move.
I can start the moped no problem. If I try to peddle it just spins, the chain does not move at all and it sounds like a freewheel. What could be the problem and where to start with repair?
Thank you Ryan! My Y terminal is missing. I looked at several schematics and couldn't find one that didn't have winkers or diff' color wires. My eyes, haven't seen " clearly " since I was your age...............

My 78's are 6 volt. A 12 volt would work but you'd be in danger of being called a dim bulb. Mind the wires under the tank are plugged in.
