I am stuck I'm a similar situation helping someone with a bike they bought used. Its a parma kit on doppler cases with stock clutch and er3. It just tears through clutch bells. As much as i want to blame the stock clutch set up, the original owner screwed this bike up and lost some parts to the stock clutch so its been fun getting that back together. After modding the clutch by only adding 3
Yup this single speed motor and head combo would come on the ssxl and RS LTD models. I had one on my Rally sport ltd and sold it like a fool because I didn't want a pile of unused stock parts. but for some reason Malosi matched the fins on their kit to This head.
looking for the head that came with this cylinder. Sold one a while back and may have a lead but just looking around. matches up with the malossi kits pretty well.
Now this is a sick build! Makes me want to get back in the garage and get this TSM finished!
You also should either run a resistor plug boot or resistor plug with a cdi. One or the other not both. Otherwise it will not work proper for too long.
So here to resurect a dead topic that was never answered but you have to make your own tool. I was lucky enough and Stephen Simmons had went through and made one for both us team owning individuals. This is very important for my two speed as a 24 mm box end wont get in that recess and a modified 15/16 6 point socket will. Thanks again Stephen for making one!
Oh yes Great to hear from you Drew! I hope you post a bit about the build on that 3 speed motor. I will be doing so shortly about this team bimatic. There is a moped build and gather event here state side this winter that I will be Working on the frame. Thanks Stephen for that team roller! As for the motor I prefer to do that in the comfort of my garage. Happy riding and wrenching!
Dont forget the noi 3 speed and team 3 speed! I am going to eventually make my post about the team bimatic I scored recently since I actually will document what is done to that bike. Thanks to Stephen I will be able to put this motor on an actual team frame. This winter I will be up to my head with my VIP 4 on the monza frame and the team build. At least I rebuilt my VIP and sorted my rally sport
You are better off just keeping the bike original especially if you have no access to welding equipment and tools needed to modify a frame. Do some research on you motor take it all the way apart because a bike that is close to 30 years old will need what was stated above. New seals and if you want to kit it new bearings. And since the original owner used jb weld on the head is a good idicator it
Actually looking another thread on the mini rotor it does say to start at 2mm btdc and work your way towards 4 while making sure your tuning for optimum performance. I am at 3.2 right now with better results. more tuning to come.
Ryan I have an HPI mini rotor on my peugeot and started at 2 and went down to 1.7 but it didn't help went up to 2.5 and it seems to be better but I think Derek is right on advancing it to help with the curve when it retards. I still have some more tuning to do on my setup but I have malossi cases with a malossi gr1 50cc replica on it. This last time I changed timing it seems to keep temps dow

Sorry for the delay. Just was awaiting a response from someone and they flaked out. So the price I was asking and failed to mention before was 170 on the cleaner bottom end without the electric side cover and 200 on the other with both covers. I also have the bosch ignition that came on the 2 speed motors as well as a cev ignition if desired. Get in contact and we can work out shipping.
Might be picking up that hack n weld derbi weekends pipe. That or maybe rig an ev turbo for my NOI 2 speed. But the. Again maybe I should keep it mild with the gianelli circuit pipe.
That motor is the motor from Angelo, this next one was an ebay score from Italy. looks to be a pre surflex clutch pedal gary due or possibly Katia, the other motor is probably just a normal 2 speed NOI from early 80s while the other from around the 90s.last thing not pictured is I have what originally came with one of my 3 2 Speeds is a bosch ignition. pulled it on my running NOI to pop in the HP

True that. With the spare performance parts I have lying about I could almost build a motor to flip. Just sucks to have to throw more money at a build.
I always notice on treats they have spare parts for the er3 variators and it seems like they sell the shaft and cheek to the clutchless set up and wondered if I would be able to make an er3 with clutch function clutchless?
This still isn't malossi case compatible is it?

I am happy to see another step thru Garelli LTD get put back together and not stripped down and parted out. I really enjoy the ride my Rally Sport LTD provides. I bet this bike is no slouch either. The only thing that would be sweet is to see a storage saddle that the Rally sport has on the grand sport. Great work.

I have a mounted but unused gila 50 kit. Comes with the exhaust stuffer for using the bolt up opposed to useing the screw on flange, as well as all the other parts besides the base gasket $145.
