peddle

You guys need to check out the post I just put under the moped repair thread "make your own puller". When your fixing your ped in Indonesia you won't be going to pick up a flywheel puller at Sears (though palm tree wood wouldn't really work either). The point is, though I swore I'd shoot myself right in the head if I ever said this,...get er done. BLAM!

Try doing a Search here on GOVERNER or SPEED LIMITER or SPEED RESTRICTER. ALL DATES ALL WORDS ALL BODIES.

I highly doubt it, plug chop or die that's what I always say. If you need to rejet you better get some bigger jets dude. With the right tools it is possible to make the hole bigger...but it's a delicate procedure and you can't go back.

I found that the petcock was dirty and it wasn't getting good fuel flow on mine. On the stand at full throttle it would rev and die, rev and die, rev and die...a very even pattern. Once I got the fuel line flowing good with the proper jetting in the carb it would rev real high. I think with out good flow it clears the carb bowl out quicker than it can refill it. Try it out.

Yeah Airsal seems to be a Tomos thing. It what I use on my Targa. But in all the reading I've done lots of Pucheads scream Polini like Paul does.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
I've been running an Airsal for about 600 miles and so far so good.

Opps I mean 70cc?
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
What kind of 60cc kit fits one of cosmos kinetics?
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
Is the piston on upsidedown? Is there gas misting out through the air filter? This is a common error in installation.

Putting on a speed sprockit requires buying one and that is what he is trying to avoid.Ultimately if you want more speed...with out a full two stroke motor education, the right tools and a steady hand...you should buy some stuff. There is a deal on an Airsal kit on Ebay as we speak. Biturbo is the most common form of a 3-5 mph upgrade. And there you have it.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
Yeah...when I went from Biturbo to Techno I noticed the Techno was much louder...deeper.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
Not to much. Clean carb, new plug, lose weight...you might get a couple m.p.h...but not much.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
From what I've seen Tomos and Puch have the most kit options and that's what you should be looking for...options.

I've always wondered what a k7n filter is. Anyone?

Let me help, once again, to get these obvious questions out of the way...What kind of engine? What kind of moped? What about an exhaust?
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
cpact2424...What everyone means is you might think your going that fast, esp. if your looking at your Tomos speedo. If you were to use a GPS or your folk's car you would find your probably not going as fast as you think...unless you bought you bike from Harry Poter

What are you talking about? please be more specific.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
Maybe 42 at a buck-0-five, but that's with a stiff wind at your back.

I want to know how that monster works out. Be sure to line up some specific before and after experiments before you install it...then let us know how it works out. Nice job.

Does elavation have anything to do with it? I'm running a 64 on a stock carb/intake with a 65cc kit...but I'm riding over 3300 feet.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
Really, I've got a UNI, tecno, stock carb, Airsal and I'm at 66. Some say it's way too high, others say right on. The plug says golden brown. You should definitely have a good array of jets around.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
I was told 66 and that's what I'm running. When I go down to 64 It runs alittle rougher and I lose alittle brown tone in my plug chop.Every bike, and the atmosphere it's run in, is alittle different so you'll have to go through the regular trial and error. I'd get a 58, 60 ,62, 64, 66. I'm also running mine with a tecno estroil exhaust. With a stock exhaust I go more
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
56, 58, 60, those are my suggestions with everything else stock for a Tomos.
Matt Brown — 17 years ago
tecno estroil, solid as a rock.

I broke with synthy too and all is well.

You probably looked funny with a fin on your head anyway...I suggest enjoying your new found good looks and going out to find a winter love to snuggle up with.
