yea the intake is like off to the side or watever, but yea im gonna drop the engine myself and have the mechanic put it together on the new frame. thanx for the help man
damn thanx a bunch james, both engines are great its just i thought i would get more out of a 1 yr old engine rather than the 10 yr old ive been using. if this process is a success then i will have no problem shipping u the other engine jus for helpin me. thx!~foolio
well james i have a 96 TTLX (the one with pedals) and i just bout the whole engine dropped from a 2004 tomos sprint (pegs) that was wrecked. the engine is all in tact. i was told that there was 3 bolts holding the engine, now u think they will line up from a 2004 sprint to a 96 ttlx. i have noticed that my airbox is burried in the frame whereas the newer tomos have them out to the side. but the ai
has anybody ever done an engine swap with 2 tomos engines? im thinking about converting from pedal to pegs, and a plus is that its a newer engine.
its a tomos sprint '04 i think.
would there happen to be a VIN carved in anywhere in the moped? like in the engine case or somewhere? has anyone taken one apart? i know there is usually 2 stickers with the VIN. anywhere else?
