Brady has the Ref's on his side and seen by that game. My jags got cheated. Countless no calls on holds and that blatant pass interference and holding against the jags that probably cost us the game. And some dumb play calls by the Jags OC too.Well, guess another year of hoping the pats lose.

I don't know how the timing got sooo far off, but now I know what to look at next time it happens.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Well, timing was wayyyy off. Got it as close as I could and now it rips. Could use new points though.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Ok, didn't work as much as i thought. Gets into first pretty good, but it sometimes it won't shift into 2nd. When it does it just stays in the low rpms and likes to shift back to first then back into 2nd and it does that a while. Seems like it not making enough power. It could also be because it was in the low 20s this morning. I'm going to clean the points and check the timing to b

That seems to have done the trick. Shifts right into first and eventually into second. Still doesn't seem to be running right though, not getting to full speed. So still got another issue to figure out.

Well, checked all the internals, everything looked fine. One way bearing worked fine, sprag gear looks good, looks a little worn but not too bad. The clutches did good a little glazed from my best guess so I sanded them down just a little. I'll find out after the rtv on the cover dries and I fill it with fluid.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
I'll check those when i get home. If the pads are glazed over do i just rub them over some sandpaper a couple times to remove the glazing?
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Can I check all those things without pulling the engine apart?

Rest of the bike is stock. Now, why would this start happening now all of a sudden? I put that spring on like 6+ months ago with nary an issue.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
I did not.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
I slotted the clutches and put a red spring on first gear. This was months ago though.I did those mods to try and help it engage first gear since I had been having those problems with first since I got the thing but it would only happen every once in a while.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
yeah, that was my fault when I was doing the slot mod or putting the red spring in. I did both the same day so I don't remember I was actually doing.

Does all of this seem pretty normal?Seem's normal to me, but then again, I have no experience trouble shooting transmissions in these things.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Well what the fuck.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Look worn?
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Well the clogged petcock was not my problem. Gonna try a new fuel filter next and also clean the carb....again.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Gas cap not the problem. Took the fuel like before the filter and a bunch of shit came out with a weak flow. So I'm guessing that is my problem. Not 100% sure yet. But, how does one keep that kind of shit from falling into the fuel and clogging everything up? I've soaked the inside of the tank with evaporust, twice, to get rid of all the rust from it sitting for 20 years. What can I do to
aaron budke — 4 years ago
How do i test the gas cap?
aaron budke — 4 years ago
My tomos has had this problem for a little bit but was never too bad, mostly just when starting off, but now it doesn't want to shift into second. Sometimes first won't engage, sometimes it will, then when it goes to shift to second it will either disengage all together and just rev to the moon and if I stay in it sometimes it will catch to a second jerking me, then let go. Other times i

I need a throttle cable for a Tomos a3 bullet with the Dellorto carb. I need it like yesterday. Mine broke this morning and I kinda need to get to work.

When it feels like it's not turning anymore or taking too much force to turn it. Call it good.I rebuilt my entire a3 8 months ago and nothing has come loose after 2k miles. So, I'll call torque by feel on these things good.

Replaced condenser. Seems problem is fixed.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
I already replaced the internal one for the external. Just can't remember what part number it was. That g126 looks very similar. I'll just go to advance auto and have them pull a fee and I'll match it up.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Anyone know what kind of condenser i need? I want to say the last one i got was from a 63 mopar i believe.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
Tested it(connected) from case to connector and it read 0 ohms so no resistance.
aaron budke — 4 years ago
I'll check the wiring. I put an automotive condenser on it 4-5 months ago. I wouldn't imagine that going bad so soon but you never know. Got any idea on how to test a condenser?
aaron budke — 4 years ago
I've cleaned it twice already. Both times everything was clean.
