Have any of you found an inexpensive vespa bravo seat cover and cousion? The non ling seat version. Let me know! :-)
I have a bravo with a good seat, but no cushion and cover. The covers are 80 bucks shipped from Europe. And then I still dont have the cushion. :-( Not trying to spend that kinda dough. Does anyone have a seat available? Or a cheap way of repairing the seat to look nice? I got fabric, but I'm getting cold feet on trying to sew my own cover. I'd rather purchase a replacement.
Yay! I am going to do that!
Sad, so treats doesnt have a pre 1980 replacement piston and rings? How about just the rings? I suppose I could just search the ring size on the search bar.
Lol, I know. But of I keep it around 100 bucks for the repair, it shouldn't be an issue. Between gaskets, bearings, piston and rings and shaft seals I will be at around 100 I am sure. I have a job lined up, bit it doesnt start for a couple weeks.
Piston is a little scuffed. But I am sure I could just do that. Myrons mopeds was the only place I could find rings. But I found their website to be a little confusing. And I'd like to take advantage of the treats sale, considering I just got laid off, and am on unemployment. I figured a cheap moped project will help with the existential dread. Lol
My current piston doesnt use dyke piston rings. Can I change to the replacment piston on treats with dykes? All I can find is the dyke replacment piston... and i want to keep this stock for cost savings. Please let me know if you know! I need to by parts.
your exhaust is coming loose. fix it! or maybe the exhaust gasket failed.if this is your main transportation to school a tao tao was not the best choice. but you can make it work. get locking washers to keep the exhaust from coming loose.
i would delete the oil injector and get the oil injector block for the PW50, it fits right on there. I have the same red champ as you. its a great bike. ignition coil likes to fry, so make sure to check your grounds. My plan is to go to a PW50 stator and flywheel. hopefully that fixes the recurring ignition issues.
id paint it green and name in mantis toboggan.
damn, i like that head idea to soften the metal. pro choice my friend.
ok, its been two years, and i am just wring this guy up finally. (moving and new job messed up my moped hobby bad)any idea on a wiring diagram? or am i just supposed to wing it? loldo kinetics require a voltage regualtor? or should i be able to wire up the lights and such direct from the coil?
yep, i am 31... i blame electric bikes... the economy.... and friggin new age rappers rapping about teslas, not 64 impalas... what is happening to this world? and how do you mod a motor controller? Is anyone listening to me?
or ill just drill start it if the starter motor dies. lol
jeez, 300 bucks? ridiculous. thats more than i paid for the scoot. loli will just fix it up a bit and sell... wack. or also research how hard it is to rebuild the starter motor instead.
has anyone had issues with the starter motor failing? i was going to restor this one, but i am reluctant to do so since the starter motor is impossible to find.
I am interested in a deluxe top. let me know when they become available. :-)
variator? what cha need Dawg?
Just google Bike Polo wheel covers. i want them in black! :-)
i had this issue and had to replace the C clip on the lever that releases the starter spring.
i would throw a 110-125 cc lifan on there. the SSR motors suck ive heard.but ive also heard you can get a 110CC top end to fit.... but after cam and head work you will be at about the cost of a new lifan engine. shit, if the lifan 140CC fits that would be pretty rad.
i need all the kick start parts! i will pm you right now.
either this, or ive wanted to learn how to rewind this motor and ,make a tutorial on this website... but my starter motor hasn't failed yet. lol maybe you could take up the task? you would be cooler if you did. lol
hoses are replaceable. but if i were you i would change the head and can carburetor to eliminate the thermal controlled choke.good luck finding the starter motor. its a tough part to find. I really want to find out how to adapt a modern Chinese made starter motor to the urban to eliminate this issue.
i like the soft suspension. as long as you arent bottoming out , who cares? its mopeds....bravos are sweet for trips through the woods.
Sweeet! Buying some tonight! i might as well clean my oven too
Dooooopppppeeeee! Thanks jesus.
Another quick to answer vespa question. I am putting new tires on the bravo when I noticed oil was leaking from the transmission on the rear wheel when the wheel was leaning against the wall in a specific orientation. That doesnt absolutely mean it needs new seals correct? Theres a breathing hole somewhere on this trans right? Like a porpoise? Or is it hermetically sealed?
