I’ve got a PA-II cylinder (notch dremmeled in skirt) and exhaust. You’ll need intake, reeds, carb & snorkel. $40 shipped.
Good looking Hobbit. Double check the rubber snorkel intake - you’ll want to replace the brown one with the black one (or just remove it altogether) if using the Hobbit carb.
> Daniel '' Wrote:> -------------------------------------------------------> If he changed the reed cage, pipe and kit, what other engine> restrictions are there on a pa1? Variator? Carb? What else? Both intakes (under the carb and the rubber snorkel). the DR should be a bolt-on with the pa-i. Otherwise, everything Daniel mentioned.
If you want to convert it to a near-PAII, I’ve got everything except the vario ramp plate to do that.
Check the air intake “snorkel” to make sure it’s not obstructed.
There's a decent Maxi Sport (not an MKII) for sale locally with an E50. What's involved with installing a ZA50 on that model? Is it worth the effort? I don't need a blaster but would like a little more pep - a restomod (if that's still a word). Just kit the E50? Thanks..!!
I've got a PA-II cylinder (dremel notch in skirt) i could probably part with. Maybe even a DR cylinder...
My Hobbit originally belonged to my brother-in-laws uncle who liberated a moped while in Europe during WW II. Lucky for me, he brought his love of mopeds back with him. Cool story bro, right?
That is one beautiful Vespa...!!
Nice bike!! I took the project Vespa for a spin!

I've got a 1979 Vespa Grande Deluxe - not real pretty but it runs. Pick up in Dallas on the way for $300 or I can bring it down for $350
Prolly not worth shipping, but will work with shipper if that's what you want. Can arrange delivery within a hundred miles or so for nominal fee. Not parting out at this time.https://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/mcy/d/1979-vespa-grande-deluxe/6507522961.html
Used once, no complaints. May be cheaper ways?
Quick update. New piston, carb (malossi 13.13), petcock & fuel line, rewired stator. Just hardwired ignition to HT coil and grounded the brake light for now - and she runs. Roughly for now - but running...!!
