I see a cottage industry here. While I have ported cases, I have never ported a cylinder for fear of screwing the cylinder surface/wall. If US/CAN customs weren't a drag, I'd gladly sub out to RebelMoby (if he'd have me) just to increase the ped's street credit.

thanks for checking Stephen-Here is the parts diagram comparing the standard (L) to the VLX shock (R). Big spacers used on VLX too (# 11&12). Also a pic of a Puch.not the same, but got me thinking.Still love to hear from other Moby 50 owners who have upgraded the rears! Thanks~

There are handful of these threads that just end, so figured no need to open a new one.@210lbs I bottom out all the time on stock shocks.I got the generic treat coil overs at 280mm to match the original length, andcut my own 8/10mm bushing/insert to go the width of the shock + washer + 5mm spacer.I have minimal 1mm clearance to the frame, but this just looks dodgy to me.I want to avoid doing anyth

from vibration? Suppose to be good to 500F and there is no stress there, the pipe/stinger just passes thru the endcap.

May I play? AV7. 70cc cylinderThanks
Mike L — 3 years ago
For a 70cc kit with 15 SHA, I went with a 13mm ID aluminum pipe from eBay.Compared to stock:Opened the cap, JB welded the new bent pipe into position.Drilled out the center holes to 19mm with a step bit and expanded the side holes.I can still piccolo if needed. Thank you Rebel Moby for all your suggestions on sizing this here and other threads.

along these lines...... I couldn't find replacement foam donuts for the Huret speedometer drive. The only ones were part of a NOS kit that looked like they would last 5 miles before falling apart. Then I found these neoprene samples on eBay for a buck shipped, enough to make 2. I used a Gatorade cap for the OD and highlighter cap for the ID. certainly not pretty but does the job.
