Whole bike sold. A local wanted to buy it out of the blue, and I took him up on the offer. Sorry to leave a couple of you hanging.
Well, the Peugeot 103 project never panned out. I overestimated my ability. I'll part out anything you guys want, make me an offer. In addition to stock Peugeot 103 parts it has:-An unused Dellorto SHA 15.15 carb-An unused MBK CDI Le Partie from Treats-An unused Ax32 belt-A Polini launch lever-Metal rear-view mirrorsLocated in Seattle.Note to self, buy Puch, buy running...
1977 Peugeot 103, currently all stock but trying to throw on these parts:Dellorto SHA 15.15 wire choke, motobecane cdi Le partie, polini launch lever.I'm having trouble figuring out how to take off the stock points ignition system. Is there a way to remove it without certain tools? I can't seem to find any specific forum posts about this.I read ya just gotta cut the throttle/choke cables
Treats sale yall. Can anyone recommend a 70cc kit for a pug 103 with stock cases? No gila @ treats.
start of the summer. sold the tomos, giving a go at a faster ped
Have a pug 103 with these a15.15 SHA carb and an MBK CDIWill probably also get a 70cc gilardoni kit.I'm wondering what pipe I should get if I'm using my moped for a daily commuter and more interested in low end acceleration/ability to climb hills.I'm looking on the cheap end, had my eye on this: http://www.treatland.tv/leo-vince-peugeot-black-performance-pipe-p/leo-vince-peugeot-bla
any idea if those seats would fit a pug 103? if so, id take the other.
If you're willing to part I would take that seat
Lemme know what you gotWould also be interested in a kit
im interested, i'll pm ya.
How necessary is a pipe? Really looking for quiet riding. Will a 70cc kill the bike with stock exhaust or something? I can always snag that crappy but quiet cobra exhaust for pugs...
that's a great list, thanks mikey. but honestly I'm not looking to rip, just looking to maintain upper 30s and get enough acceleration to do hills/do the commute in urban Seattle. 550 is my limit, but $300 is the ideal. what do you think about just grabbing that 70cc polini cylinder, a dellorta SHA carb, throw em on with the stock exhaust and forget about it? is that doable or just an al
What do y'all got? Especially in the market for:a carb (preferably better than the gurtner)a double seat!brake padsanything really! what do you have?
Hey guys. I picked up a decent 1977 Peugeot 103 today that I'm pretty excited about. given that this was such a cheap find, i'd like to invest in some nice parts that'll make it a good daily commuter/a decent ride for doubles. how's about you guys help me do that? i know it looks pretty dank right now, but it'll get there.right off the bat, I know it needs a new carb. the
Any chance you'd sell the double?
Decided against puch. Too expensive for all-stock, and too far.Decided against Vespa. Yeah it's cheap, but everything about it seemed sketch...seller had suspended license, rust all over other side, and no VIN on the bike where they usually are, based in photos. The Peugeot seller is very close, and it's a cheap running ped that has plenty of parts to make faster. I'm going to see it
what about this Peugeot? he'll take 300 and it's in the area...http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/mcy/5601095033.html
both have a 3 shoe clutch? meaning both'll do doubles fine? i know the vespa grande was made for dubs, and the maxi not so much..
my main interest isnt kitting so much as just have a nice ped for the commute. i think the puch is tight, but is it worth the 800? im leaning towards vespa right now, especially for dubs
been looking for a 2 seater/something sturdier than the tomos i had... these came up. bad deals or good deals?https://portland.craigslist.org/clk/mcy/5604137719.htmlI've really wanted a vespa grande. i asked if he'd take 525, he agreed. no title, but he'd give BOS. according to him no mods. was worried i might be a sham, but his dad is the one selling it for him while he's away
deesal is a good guy, neal, helped put on the a35 himself. anyways no need to comment on this anymore. sold the ped to find one that didn't leak everywhere and would accelerate faster.
unfortunately can't make the rally, but if anyone is making their way south after and have a ped for sale, hit me up. located in kansas but can meet wherever.
Forgot to mention: I'm in Seattle until June 5th, then Kansas City after that.
Really getting into this stuff. I'm specifically looking for a Vespa grande/a moped that two could possibly fit on. Really, anything. Can pick up in/around Seattle or Kansas City area. Portland, St. Louis, Omaha, Vancouver, anywhere close to those places, too. Let me know whatchu got.
Hey there--I've got an A35 head/performance exhaust on my 86 tomos. It's got a high top speed on flats, but takes forever to get there, and the acceleration in general is pretty slow. What are some ways to improve this?It starts four stroking pretty early, around 30 mph. Also, is there a way to make it so it'll shift to 2nd gear later? i think it's the fact that it shifts so qu
