Yha I know, I just have too much on my plat to ever get around to a job as big as that. plus that giant clockspring in the starter mechanism scares the crap out of me.
I was working on my honda express motor today and when i finally got the little bastard to maintain and keep running i locked up the ratcheting kickstart. yikes! should i dump it and let someone who knows work on it or should i embark on a crank case expedition? this is my first moped, and I have no experience with motors.
Is the oil filter om a honda xpress anything more then a thin mesh rubber bucket the fits into the oil line, or are there more components inside the oil tank?
I was referring to the magnito coils, they look a bit hit-up but i'll focus on the oil filter issue. is there any place you could reccommend to pick up a filter?
Thanks! You're a genius! Great instructions.My oil line seems clogged. Wen i remove it the oil flows like a civ but when replaced there is still no oil to the line. I guess that would be a filter problem. Also the coils look kind of roasted. I'm not sure what there supposed to look like but it seems like but it seems like the insulation has been burned off in spots.Thanks so much for the
I just purchase a 1979 honda express. The motor runs but the eidle is erratic and it bogs out when i give it full throttle. The carb was just cleaned and rebuilt to specs. I drained the fuel and the oil and replaced with new. Any tips or hints would be great. Also I need to get a shop manual.
