I might have something. I can check my shop i know i at least have some stock straight cut gears from a euro transmission and some other vespa transmission stuff.
Yeah that patina would be rad! Thanks! Those wheels were off a garelli ssxl I just don't dig the fork it almost looks too chopperish?? Haha malaguti had like two options on the bike a road like those cool cafe looking colts (i think it was a 2?? Don't quote me on that) and a pilot cross which was the dirt bike version. mine had odd wheel sizes 17 in the rear and 19 in the front and dirtb
Thats one sweet colt!!!!Here's mine im still working on. Its malagutis colt
"Supposed" GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT HORSE SHIT.
I'm looking for a morini m1,m101, or a m04 (the three speed morini) and a motomarina sebring paioli fork.
269, three drugged chickens and a psa 10 pete rose rookie card
I live like 45 minutes outside of st louis. The ruffians still do rides and whatnot. Maybe reach out to some of them. They are super awesome and humble dudes.
Here's my malaguti pilot. Didn't come with the neat frame rails but, has sweet dirtbike fenders, different tank decals.
I've got a few rifles I've built and I want to build more. I finished up a bren mk4 light machine gun and before that was a rpk.
I've always been curious on other things you collect besides mopeds.I collect records (mostly black metal/hardcore/doom/jazz) . Also I started collecting banana republic years ranging from mid to late 70s through early 90s (before gap took it over) whenever it was all still sold as safari and travel gear. I can post some solid pictures if anyone is interested
I'm looking for a 30kph clutch bell and either 6.5:1 or 7:1 gears.
Would a rebuild error cause strange issues to happen like what im experiencing? Where at speed it acts like the decomp is stuck open.
Yes. Theres slight in and out play on the output shaft. Also the disengagement button for switching over to bicycle mode will work properly like once or twice then when you push it in it doesn't pop back out like I have to pull it. I feel like I've done something wrong here but I went off of the vespa shop guide to rebuilding the transmission.
None of these issues are happening with my single speed transmission when I swap the transmission over from variated to single speed. Which has me completely baffled.
I'm running a malossi cdi headlights and tail light hooked up. The only thing I can think of is shimming on the gears for the transmission. But, I've found three different ways to build a variated transmission so I'm completely confused
So here's what I have going on: variated vespa bravo did a malossi gears and swapped for a treats lightened clutch bell. The bell rubs up against where the clutch shoes sit and is hard to start so I fixed that by shimming out and it Freed up and spins freely but, now I have where if it hits speeds it acts like I'm pulling on the decomp then dies off. Ive tried everything from lapping the
I have some stuff im looking to either get sold or trade for.I do have a ks fantic v1, polini cylinder, a batavus hs50 with a v1 motor bracket welded to it, really nice korado mags powder coated by Tony Cruz does come with brake plates (they are a black with rainbow sparkle and purple with rainbow sparkle), malossi mvr front fairing, other odds and ends so I'll be adding to this when I look i
The page i got to go with it says the orange box is actually a dust cover. So I'm really not sure whats in it if it's filled with an epoxy. Its either a 50/50 shot of points or a triggering device maybe a magnet or something. But too, that epoxy could not be solid and actually have something inside of it
This is the schematic I got of the ignition
Also its auto retarded at 5k rpm
So the guys at the stihl dealer said the orange box with the other ignition coil were both ignition coils. They work in conjunction with each other. Also the orange box is a rev limit of 5k rpms and would die down due to sawing through trees so the saw would not back off and cut into a person. The schematic I have the box looks like it has breaker points in it as well. I hope this sheds more light
I'm sending an email to stihl at the moment to figure out what it is all about
Soooo i mayyyy be able to shed some light into what the heck the orange box is or might be. So there should be a wire that leads from orange box to condenser then another wire connected to the same screw with a male bullet connector that wire should connect to a kill switch. Assuming this its probably some sort of pickup sensor. This probably is a olddddd version of cdi. Timing should be 2mm befor
No problem as more of a cross compatability question. Since treats and dos is sold out is there a cross compatable kickstart return spring I can use?
I snapped my return spring (which knew was going to happen). Treats is out and so is dos. Thanks y'all
I did come across this I know zero French https://www.lesanciennes.com/lecture?search=MALAGUTI+Pilot+50&ftype=vo
Hey terbo! I got it from tyler at dos. I'm thinking it's some oddball euro import. I cant really find specifics on this bike. Ques unsolved mystery music.
Thanks don. She has a bit of work still needing to be done. But I'm going to keep it original paint and stuff. Just do a nice build on the motor and stuff
Here's after skimming the old gas mixture off the useable evaporust. Pretty nasty stuff also theres a bit of rust in the bottom. Tank already looks 100 times better inside. Although the petcock is a strange setup. Instead of the usual female on the petcock and Male on the tank its reversed.
That motor is wicked rad!!! Dig the build
